BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
I can only sum this up as the most exciting game we've had thus far this season. They opted for a back 3 and that probably helped create the openness we had today. We lead once, trailed twice and then levelled at the end and it was probably the right outcome. Each of our players had some form of involvement today with a decent spread of actions across the squad. It's a point away from home, usually we don't travel too great bit 6 goals away from home in the last two games is pleasing.
We're getting more and more right over this last few rounds I think, we've got another signing coming in next week which would hopefully help that, but right now we just want to keep a run going, we're teetering the top 6, don't get me wrong for us to stay there would be the a great shock, there's a lot of football to go but it's pleasing to see where we are right now.
Haha not ideal by any means but yes we had a severe lack of DF's due to injuries so had to go with two DM's instead. Great game though but a point does us no favours at all
After skimming through the match report a few times, I can honestly say that this afternoons match at Red Bull Arena between RB Salzburg and Feyenoord was to put it mildly, a rough and tumble affair. Something tells me that these two clubs don’t like each other very much. I don’t know how often the referee -- allowed play to go on -- mainly in favour of the hosts. To put it into perspective, 23 fouls in total accompanied by 5 yellow cards.
Glad to see J_Koroma doing his part, two impressive back to back attempts at goal for the new arrival, an unexpected ninth minute curling shot that went a little wide, followed 4 minutes later with a failed attempt to nutmeg the keeper; gotta like this rookies cocky attitude.
Today's result catapult Feyenoord into the top six of the ELF2, something that has eluded the club for the majority of the season. Manager Buck was impressed with today's outcome saying that “the lads played a good game, I’m happy for the well deserved win” Further mentioning that he was a little “disheartened at J_Rasmussen’s knotty behaviour”.
Zzzzzzz, what should have been an exciting clash against manager Kirby's old side, turned into a snore fest.
Fiorentina changed formation and tactics given the recent number of goals conceded, and I guess at least it meant a clean sheet
However, it also led to very few shots on target and a poor performance, even when the tactics were switched up during the match.
New signing Mount had a quiet game, and there were very few positives to be taken other than the clean sheet
Oh well, time for another rethink
