    AC Milan 1-2 Barcelona

The run has to come to an end at some point, got a lot of respect for Livi and I’m glad it’s him that ended it.

Difference between Barca and the other teams I’ve played. He got shots on target, and when that happens you score goals.
    simple right?

Going 1-0 up though I did think here we go, but Barca dominated the game.

Well played Livi, well deserved 3 points

      Real Madrid 2 - 1 Real Sociedad

A battle of the Reals. We went two up in the 2nd half against a Sociedad team who have been doing well this season. Rodrygo then got himself sent off and we seemed to be holding on a bit as Kimpembe went off injured too as Sociedad pulled one back. We were happy for the final whistle to go when it did, we was on the backfoot down to the ten men. 3 points in the bag though and we move onto a crucial Champions League tie at home to Chelsea. We both have a striker out, although we do also have Kimpembe out as well for a 2 week spell on the physios table which gives the real AB at Chelski a bit of an edge going into the big midweek game. RB Leipzig 2 - 4 PSG

We are disappointed to concede 2 goals, against one of the weaker front lines in the league, especially after our keeper hit 25. He got negative abs in the game and I had to check that he hadnt dropped back down to 24 ahead of our important Champions League game against Aston Villa. However, this was another game where we dropped points last season, so we now find ourselves 5 points ahead of where we were last time from the same games. An early brace from Erling Haaland put us 2 up before our hosts pulled one back just before the break. We previously threw away a 2 goal lead against Lazio, so it was slightly concerning. However, Smith Rowe restored the 2 goal cushion shortly after the restart, before Ramos put the tie out of reach. We then stupidly gave away a penalty at the death, allowing Milik to get his 2nd goal of the game and steal the Man of the Match award from under the nose of Haaland. It was disappointing to see our loan player put in another 0 0 0 performance.
Good game Matt, and good luck for the rest of the season.

AC Milan still lead the table, and it seems their manager is unhappy that some managers are failing to recognise his success publicly. The reality is, that like another top tier manager, he is a protected species, so he will find minimal engagement for fear of reprimands.

        Real Madrid 2-1 Real Sociedad

We gave Madrid a real battle and can be proud of our efforts. Patson Daka on his debut was a real handful for the home defence and was rewarded with a goal and Motm award. Steve’s side are one of the best in FFO so it was always likely they’d take the three points but I’m happy that we made it as tricky for them as we could. An uprate for Josip Juranovic to 20 rated was also a nice little bonus. Played Steve.

          Atletico Madrid 1 - 1 Juventus

Atletico may have been struggling, however they possess a lot of talent so we knew this one wasn't going to be an easy one.

We wanted to play positively and thought the hosts might come at us, however they played with a back 7 and looked to hit us on the counter.

A goalless first half in which Atletico were the better team saw us have plenty of work to do in the second half, and just 2 minutes in we were ahead.

We both changed tactics and it was now us with TA, but with almost the whole half to play, we knew the game was far from over.

It was pretty much one way traffic with the home team peppering us with chances and finally in the 87th minute, we caved.

Statistically Atletico created much more, but couldn't find a winner so on one hand we were fortunate, however holding the lead until the 87th minute and not winning is hard to take.

          Good game Marshy.

            Roma 2 0 Bayer Leverkusen

Ben Yedder puts himself in the shop window with a Man of the Match performance.

Roma slightly underwhelmed the fans with only 2 goals. Courtois held his nerve and managed a clear sheet.

Big game next with Roma facing Man Utd as they try to save their rocky Champions League campaign.

              AC Milan 1 Barcelona 2

After our timid display against Roma we were desperate to get back on track but Milan have been nothing short of sensational so far this season so we knew it was going to be extremely difficult.

We started with our 4 new signings from Celtic but it was Milan who went ahead just before half time making a difficult task even harder. Thankfully Jesus got us back on level terms very quickly and after some subbies from both sides during the 2nd half it was Matip that fired us to a brilliant 3 points, spoiled only at the death by a red card for our captain Mahrez.

He'll miss our Champions League trip to Arsenal along with Matip whose injury time booking also proved costly. Fair to say our options are going to be very limited for the Emirates but we'll see what we can do.

Good game Jase, it was a closer game than you're portraying. Unbelievable job at Milan so far showing everyone what a capable manager you are. All the best for the rest of the season, hope you keep it going it's good to see other faces up there challenging.

                Atletico Madrid 1 Juventus 1

Normally a draw at home to Juve would be considered as reasonably satisfactory. However, with the season progressing and Atletico positioned nearer a relegation fight than a champions league position nothing less than 3 points would be required. Despite winning the shot count 12-6, something the home side has achieved 9 times out of 11 league games they once again could not convert into a win. In fact it took a late goal from defender Frimpong to grab a point. It was a relief to actually score a goal from open play, something Atletico had not done for almost 4 games.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "Frustrating again, but maybe that late goal and point starts to breathe some life into us to pull away from the relegation zone. Our first target is 11th place, to be the best of the current rest and we can reevaluate things from there".

Atletico take a welcome break from domestic football with a Champions League home game versus Southampton, themselves having struggles in the Premier League this season.

                  Inter Milan 2 - 2 Rangers

a sore game to draw to be honest, we did everything correct, outplayed them by a large margin and had most of the ball, we scored two goals and as usual should have scored more but late in second half out of the three chances Rangers had on target the entire game they manage to score two of them, which is poor from us the game should have been offer and its two points lost, Rangers i assume will be delighted with that smash and grab but for us it was a lack of concentrating and a loss of two points. gg mate, The Rangers are shite though

                      Monaco 3 - Celtic 2

Games against Sam, for me, never seem to end in my favour so, and with Celtic above us in the league I wasn't expecting anything signficant.

We took an early lead through an Immobile penalty after a foul on Arthur by Ben White, but almost immediately Celtic equalised as Salah and Gakpo combined.

Ten minutes later Celtic took the lead as Jonny managed to head past his own keeper and I was expecting a landslide from there.

Two goals in less than 5 minutes as both Cresswell and Awoniyi acored their second of the season saw us go into the break leading by three goals to 2.

The second half was comparatively uneventable with chances but no goals and we came away with a second win in two league games.

Good game Sam, good luck for the rest of the season.
