    Arsenal 0 - 1 Aston Villa

    Well it took ten attempts but we eventually got there, our first League win of the campaign. It was a very close and tense encounter with the home side getting more of there efforts on target compared to us. Finding the back of the goal is what counts though and Luis Diaz was the only player to achieve that on the day. Hopefully a spring board.

      Barnsley 2-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

      Another frustrating counter attacking set up from us. Although we changed our approach on 30 minutes, I don't think we made good enough use of either set up really in what turned out a very close game. That said it was certainly a day whereby better finishing was the difference. Another day we come away with something but facts are facts, we didn't score. It's more a frustrating game given we was in the tie but it wasn't a good enough display and a bit astract this one.

      We stay top for now, but we can't allow many more results that like this, against sides we know we should be beating, if we are to have any chance of staying in contention.

        Arsenal 0 - 1 Aston Villa

        It was good while it lasted were the words coming from the Arsenal Manager following the clubs first league defeat of the season. Going into the game Arsenal were nine unbeaten in the league and although they lost, they will feel hard done by to have got nothing from a game that thy were the better of the two sides in.

        The Arsenal gaffer spoke after the game ;

        " Our start to the season has been superb and of course we are gutted to drop the unbeaten tag after playing so well but Villa are a tough team to face who for me are in a very false league position right now and sods law w lost to them, was always going to be that way. I blame myself for going with the same setup that we have used lately, we were to see through today and I take the blame for it. Even so, I'm pleased with one defeat in tin ten games and hope we can bounce back and not get caught on a famous FFO slump ".
