    AC Milan 2-0 Atletico Madrid

Disappointed to get a red so late in the game and have Lo Celso out for our cup game, but overall a very good performance against a good Atletico team who have been unlucky so far this season. There was no scenario where we ended up 18 points ahead of Atletico quarter way through the season. Champions league qualification is still the target but players are starting to dream.

Leicester did it a few seasons ago, could AC achieve big? 9 out of 9, at some point the run has to end, but we are loving it.

    Good game Marshy.

*Sorry about the mistakes Nick, poor on my part. Apologies.

      Sociedad 0-4 PSG

We tried to take the game to PSG but sadly they overpowered us and showed why they're probably the best team in the league. A good result was always unlikely to we will move on quickly and focus on our next match. We've not started the season badly but I was a bit naïve with tactics here and can't blame the team for the result.
      Well played Ed.

        Bayern 2-1 Celtic

"Im not too disappointed in this result, we have had a torrid time against JB every time we play him, we probably did enough to earn a point especially conceding so late, as much as we are lower mid table we have been in every game this season only losing by the odd goal, this was one of those that another day we get a point or maybe even something more, a few days break before i need to look into our next opponents."

          Real Madrid 6 - 2 Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer had a defender out so we went for the kill. Guimares was dropped to the bench and Tadic came in for a start. Two goals from Doku, Leao, one from Varane and a 13th of the season from Rodrygo sealed a dominant win. Next up we face PSG again in the EFL Cup. They have a defender out as well, so do we keep the same instructions as we had here or take a more conservative approach? Questions yet to be decided, but whatever the case we need a better performance than what we managed away to them in the Champions League.

            Real Sociedad 0 - 4 PSG

We dropped points in this tie last season after a goalless draw which saw Erling Haaland see red after 19 minutes. With Saliba out, and Smith-Rowe needing minutes, we opted for an attacking 50032A formation. We managed to score from our first attack with Vitnha leaping like a salmon in the fourth minute. We had a brief period of the passing tactic, but reverted back to all out attack on the half hour mark. Ramos got our second with a spectacular bicycle kick just before the break. We came out in the second half looking to carry on where we left off, but as the half progresses it looked more likely that we would not add to our tally. However, just as the board went up to signal 7 minutes of stoppage time, the players heard that Real Madrid and Roma had won 6-2 and 5-0 respectively, and that the team was in danger of being leapfrogged in the table by our spanish title challengers. The team appeared to move up a gear and managed to add a further brace in the final 5 minutes, from Bastoni and the Georgian. His goal was probably a deciding factor in Bastoni being awarded his third Man of the Match award of the season, although another clean sheet for Costa must surely have put him into contention. Next up is a double header against Real Madrid, after already beating them in the Champions League last week.

AC Milan 2 Atletico Madrid 0

This dour season continued for Atletico with yet another decent performance gaining zero points. Atletico won the shot count 11-8 but could only manage 2 shots on target and floppy handed Musso continued his terrible form.

Manager Simon Marsh "There really is not a lot I can say. Just feels like I am repeating myself. We deserved at least a point but we are totally useless at both ends of the field"

Welcome news was the increase in passing skills of defender Mancini. Atletico aim to get more passing skills into the side so this is a welcome addition.

                Monaco 0 - 1 Juventus

We've been poor recently so a win on the road today was much needed. Up against a very resilient Monaco team who generally give the big boys issues.

We threw caution to the wind and went all out, vs the hosts' P tactic.

Despite controlling most of the first half, we went in at the break 0-0 and we wondered if our luck was out once again.

Into the second half and after a more balances start to the half, the breakthrough which we needed. A penalty awarded by VAR put us into the lead on 77 minutes and we comfortably saw out the remainder of the game to seal all 3 points.

Statistically we were just about the better team so we'll take the win. Good game John

                  Roma 5 - Napoli 0

Another shocking performance from the title favourites.

Despite oozing shooting quality all over the pitch we failed to score a single goal in the second half. I'll admit it's a total embarrassment. I'm lost for words. We brought KDB on in the 2nd half but even he failed to produce any magic.

We are away to Barca next. And I'm fearing the worst after this.

Red Bull Leipzig 1 Barcelona 2

We fell behind immediately but didn't panic and were level soon after. Thereafter it was an even game that genuinely could have gone either way but with both sides switching to attacking late on it was our prolific defender Berchiche who struck in the 90th minute to snatch us a fortunate win (even if some managers would say we deserved it as we won the 'shot count')

Very hard luck on the home side who worked our GK on several occasions and I certainly wouldn't have begrudged them a share of the spoils but we're extremely grateful for the 3 points particularly with a horror run of games coming against 4 sides in the top 8.

A few of our players are attracting attention elsewhere so we have a few decisions to make. We've been a bit quieter in the transfer market of late but the temptation is always there...

                      Inter Milan 3 - 1 Borussia Dortmund

We knew Dortmund had a couple selection issues with players and fancied our chances just attacking and thats what we did, we raced into an early two goal lead and it looked like a long day for Dortmund but the pressure we were putting on them only resulted in one more goal, the stats suggest we may have been unlucky not to score more but a good win against a good manager and we move onto the cup next away to an Atalanta flying in efl2. gg mate

                        Real Madrid 6 - 2 Bayer Leverkusen

Another blow out. I am not sure what the record is for most goals conceded in a season but I am certain we are on pace. Fortunately our top defender returns next match and we had another increase to 21 tackling, 8 tackles in a match will do that, so that's a positive. We are still working on our tactics, we did show glimpses in the previous two matches that it could work. Hopefully we can get this figured out before slipping too deep into the relegation battle.

                        Good game Steve.
