Valencia 2-0 SHAKHTAR DONETSK

Beaten well in the end, tried to keep the positive set up going but ultimately we lost to a better side. Little complaints, another one away from home, but we'll keep going and hopefully that'll turn soon.

Lens 2 - 2 Feyenoord

A big draw at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis this evening between Lens and Feyenoord. The home-side opened the scoring in minute 1 of the first half. M_Simon making the most of a lovely pass from A_Diouf, blasting it right by the keeper. Man of the match O_Idrissi answered in the 36th with a low but hard kick that went of the post, taking a lucky bounce into the net - B_Samba came close to getting his fingers on the ball, but he mistimed his dive. Les Sang et Or regained the lead early in the second when A_Fulgini impressively nutmeg-ed his way into the visitors net giving the hosts a 2-1 lead. The tub boys never say die attitude paid off in the 79th minute, with you guessed it O_Idrissi, heading a beauty off a corner by E_Elmas, making it 2 for the evening. O_Idrissi’s attempt at a hattrick in the 95th minute of injury time was denied with the ball grazing the post.

Fiorentina 2-1 Villarreal

A bit of a nail biter this one, as Villarreal countered us and took the early lead.
Dembele however kept up his recent impressive form with the two goals, including one that came fairly late in the day.
We only just edged the stats, so I'm sure Ray will be disappointed, but his team showed enough to suggest they are in a false position.
The win puts us second, and I feel we will need to get a run going to keep up with Sevilla at the top.

Union Berlin 0-1 Rennes

No real surprise that it took a tight game like this to finally end our terrible run of form. We had some good fortune in this game but we are due some after rough luck in recent matches.
Our keeper had a great game after a series of absolute stinkers and one goal from that man Kalimuendo was enough to take the points.
