BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Despite a conflicting conditional affecting 20 minutes of the game we managed to steal it. We came to try and get the result but we're already trying to stack as many minutes on some players where possible so we changed to a random 442 diamond at 1 up later on. The only thing I care about is the win, and its a huge result against a very capable side so we're very pleased. It was a close game but we'll take what we can get when we can.It wasn't the best of games by any means, and its another set of points at home. Fingers crossed we can do something away from home sooner rather than later.
Interim Shakatar Donesk coach Steve Outten goes nuts during this afternoons match at the Metalist Stadium. He was rushed immediately to Internal medicine hospital after the match to undergo testing. The incidence started at the 31st minute mark of the first half when the gaffer out of nowhere went into a frenzy yelling continually at his players to change positions, even at halftime while his players were in the locker room coach Outten continued yelling for position changes. Fortunately things started to normalize by 55 minute of the second half. The home side befuddled by the 40 minute rant inexplicably were able to score the wining goal. Some say that the outburst was shear genius, instilling fear into his players was the little nudge needed to break the deadlock.
Now that's more like it Good dominant performance with a scoreline to match.
We decided to open up and play a bit more adventurously than late, and the goals flowed well.
Dembele got the early goal to settle the nerves, but then new boy Jovic missed a penalty and Ajax equalised, and the fans began to think it was all going to go wrong, but no two goals in a minute from man of the match Nunez but us back in control.
The second half matched the first, and Fiorentino and Jovic got debut goals, along with sub Polter.
Hopefully it's a sign the new boys were just what we needed and we can crack on from here, but maybe not
Very pleasing performance and result here in my first home game as manager. We knew this would be difficult, there's not a huge amount between the sides in terms of league performance this season but it was vital to make the home advantage count if we wanted to climb the table in ROE2. Lacazette with his 3rd goal in 2 games aswell so hopefully he can continue scoring the goals for us.
