Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
At half time it was 0-0, and we played very well but in the second half we switched our approach, became more expansive and simply left holes and gaps galore it seemed and Betis played right through us. I don't think we set up much wrong on paper but one of them games where things don't go right, but we gave it ago against a much better side and it shows this squad does need some work doing to it. Thankfully we have Sudakov coming back whos been a big miss recently.
Our 100% start to the season came to an end this evening as we went down 0-2 to Dutch side Feyenoord.
It was a evenly contested match, with both sides creating chances and having similar amounts of possession, however we were wasteful in front of goal and that cost us in the end.
Goals either side of half-time for the visitors sunk us which consigned us to our first defeat of the season, however, we remain top on goal difference.
Glad to see the lads playing up to par, the win is a definite morale booster, especially after the string of back to back loses that came our way. No doubt, both clubs played a tight well played match.
Happy with the draw with my old team lyon but we must start racking up the wins so we can get away from the bottom of the table but i think ill use this season as a feller for the club and to see what need to improve so we can push for the title next season
Disappointed with this defeat against my former club.
Mostly annoyed that I sent my teamsheet to the wrong place and we were not set up in the way that would have given us the best chance in this game.
It was an even game as with most of our defeats but it doesn't mean anything to be in the game if you don't take your chances.
Another late late goal conceded as well.
Good solid performance from the lads, and nice to be able to field a full strength team again.
The early goal from goal scoring defender Karsdorp settled the nerves, before 'agent of chaos' Nunez set up Jackson for his inevitable goal before his transfer. A late third from sub Chiquinho put some shine on the result.
It was closer than the scoreline suggests, though I felt the performance deserved the win, ul dude.
Up to fourth and our terrible start is beginning to fade in the memory.
Some big changes in personnel before the next match, so it will be interesting to see if we can keep the results going.
