    Luton Town 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Reporter: Another strong performance and a 1-0 win against Luton. Thoughts on the match?

HD: We knew Stocko and Luton would be a tough opponent away from home, especially with their tactical flexibility during their games. Our game plan was to counter their 4-1-3-1-1 P setup, which we did effectively, and switching to P nullified their switch to E. However, the last 15 minutes were tense after we switched to C and they stuck with E, which we did not at all anticipate and it put us on the back foot. So there were some nerves towards the end but we stayed gritty and held on. Definitely a bit of luck involved there but overall the stats show we deserved the win.

Reporter: How did you manage to maintain the lead and keep another clean sheet, making you the only team in FFO not to concede a league goal yet?

HD: Our defensive solidity is down to the discipline and hard work of the entire team. We focus on maintaining our shape, making intelligent decisions, and being resilient at the back. This approach has paid off, as seen in our record so far. Matt Turner and all the defenders deserve special mention for their outstanding performances in these matches. We're bringing in Erik Pieters to try and continue this form for the rest of the season, hopefully.

Reporter: With this win, you're now top of the league. How do you plan to maintain this momentum, with the next match against Sunderland?

HD: Our approach remains the same - focus on one game at a time and respect every opponent. Sunderland are a quality side, and their position in the league doesn't reflect their ability - they'll be up there by the end of the season, I'm sure. We'll prepare thoroughly, focusing on our strengths and addressing areas where we can improve. Maintaining our momentum requires consistency in our performance and adaptability to different challenges each team presents.

Reporter: Finally, how do you keep the team focused and grounded with such a strong start to the season?

HD: Keeping the team focused involves reminding them of our long-term goals. A strong start is just that - a start. The season is long, and maintaining consistency is crucial. We emphasise the importance of hard work, continuous improvement, and staying humble. Every training session, every game is an opportunity to grow and strengthen as a team. That's our focus. And it will stay that way. Long way to go yet.

Good game Neil, good luck for the rest of the season.

      Bristol City 2 Birmingham 2

Bit of a flat performance from us not helped by Bentley having a shocker in goal after rating up to 23! Scored against the tactical advantage with Williams and then our new signing Azmoun scored against us when the keeper went awol. Straight after half time Azmoun again won a penalty for them to go ahead. Supersub Cadden equalised with half an hour to go to rescue a point but in all honesty 2 dropped, home form is not what we are looking for but we do have a significant upgrade in attack for the next game. Good game Freddie cheers

        Bristol City 2-2 Brum

Sorry about the teamsheet mistakes. I somehow managed to create two birsht.txt and accidentally sent an old one.

A good point on the road for us against a strong manager and side. The outgoing Azmoun signing off in style.
We're not doing badly as one of the younger teams in the league and we will aim to finish as high as we can but ultimately this campaign is about developing the team.
        Played mate, good game.

          Match Day 4

Trafford Clanger Real Kick In The Bollocks As Performance Does Not Reflect Result Yet Again!!!!

          Millwall 1 Stoke City 1

          Scorers

          Dane Scarlett (43rd Minute)
          Tchamadeu (92nd Minute)

With 3 points from a possible 9 and two straight League defeats despite results not reflecting performances there was a nervous tension inside the Den for the visit of Stoke City.

Windebank changed formation for this game obviously worried about the conceding 7 goals in the first 3 League games and opted for a back 5 counter attacking tactic. Stoke City deployed the 4-4-2 Normal tactic.

Millwall were having the better of the first half and a tactical switch in the 35th minute that lead to the Lions taking a 43rd minute lead when Flynn Downes saw his shot hit a Stoke City defender with the ball falling to the feet of Dane Scarlett who made no mistake with a curling shot to make the score 1-0.

Millwall continued to dominate the 2nd half and again were creating endless chances without being able to score the all important 2nd goal.

With the clock running down the Den was left in shock when Danny McNamara performed a needless clumsy challenge on Wesley and received his 2nd yellow card to take an early bath on 88 minutes.

Surely Millwall could hold out with only 2 minutes left and injury time in a game they had yet again totally dominated.

Could they fuck as yet again a James Trafford error cost Millwall the 3 points in the 92nd minute. When Stoke City defender Tchamadeu took a shitty looking shot no one in the ground expected a goal. How wrong were they as James Trafford dropped the ball into the back of the net to boos around the stadium.

The Millwall fans seem to be really turning on the 20 year old keeper as he continues to cost the Lions points with stupid mistakes and conceding too many goals.

Millwall had 57% possession and again created 21 shots to Stoke City's 11 with Millwall having 12 shots on target to Stokes 7.

          Windebank's Post Comments

What can I say that was a real kick in the teeth and the way we conceded makes a point feel like a defeat. Ok we stopped the run of defeats but to keep dominating games and only have 4 points out of a possible 12 is really appalling. The mistakes James is making is adding to the pressure he is feeling and ask the fans to remain patient. Form is temporary but class is permanent and I hope the fans realise that and give the youngest a chance.

I keep saying this but if we keep playing like this we will win more games than we will lose.

Pleasure as always Derek best of luck for the season mate
