Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Second round of the cup, second away tie and again in London.
We trailed to an early and then woke up effectively. We played very patient and really kicked into gear in the second half, scoring 4 goals. Palace made a game of it and could've had more themselves. But it was a game where our shooting was on point to say the least and whilst having a very stubborn goalkeeper, who despite conceding early, stood strong when counted on thereafter. Into round 3, is pleasing but we have some big ties creeping up on us and it's about maintaining our consistency.
Another positive day early doors, but as I've mentioned, plenty to do still!
Our second game against the Hammers already this season but on this occasion we fared somewhat better than what we did the first meeting. It was a fairly close game but a goal in each half first from Luis Diaz and then attacking midfield man Raphina was enough to book us a place in round three and also give us our first victory of the new campaign.
Leicester City 1 - 1 Arsenal ( Arsenal win on penalties )
The reward for knocking Liverpool out in round one was a round two trip to Leicester City. With progression to round three the ultimate goal, it took the Gunners all the way to penalties to ensure that they avoided defeat at the hands of The Foxes who made it tough for them to beat, even going a goal behind on the hour mark very much against the run of play but Pedri com on from the bench to get Arsenal level taking the game into extra time and then penalties which went the way of the North London side.
The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;
" Performance wise we were very good tonight and should have had the game wrapped long before a penalty shootout which could have gone either way which would have been disappointing for us after playing so well during the initial ninety minutes and then extra time but we held our nerve and were as clinical s we needed to be although could have been better on the actual penalties but it was our name in the hat for round three which we wanted and we achieved that so I'm chuffed with the outcome although nervy to watch ".
Rovers went ahead and then switched to a D against one of the lowest rated Championship teams, says all you need to know! We didn't embarrass ourselves in any shape or form and were unlucky not to get a goal. Attention goes back to the league where we are doing well.
Played Ryan.
Wonderkid Scarlett Sends Millwall Into The Hat For The 3rd Round
Lincoln City 0 Millwall 1
Scorers
Dane Scarlett (2nd Minute)
Following back to back League Defeats Millwall were looking to get back to winning ways against League 1 side Lincoln City at the Sincil Bank Stadium.
Things could not have started any better for the South London outfit with Marvelous Nakamba delivering an in swinging cross that Dane Scarlett controlled before nutmegging Jensen to give the Lions a 2nd minute lead.
The question now was could Millwall actually keep a clean sheet for the first time this season or would they add to their early lead.
Millwall were having the better of the game which was a real blood and thunder end to end spectacle with both sides hitting the woodwork or their keepers being equal to whatever was thrown at them.
The Millwall fans were ecstatic to see James Trafford keep a clean sheet in a man of the match performance as they progress to the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
Millwall dominated possession with 60% and created 20 shots to Lincoln's 17 shots with Lions having 10 shots on target to Lincoln's 9.

Finally a clean sheet and that should do man of the match James Trafford's confidence the world of good as well as the backline.
Again we have created a lot of chances and had half of them on target so its a shame we only scored one goal. However, the objective here was to get in the next round as we really need the £2.5m gate money and all we can hope for is a home tie as there is real quality left in this competition.
