BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
We found ourselves 4 up inside 10 minutes against a side who came to attack. We picked Wednesday off simply, and even though it suggests a closer-ish type game on the end stats, we started subbing on the squaddies to get the minutes up early doors whilst playing attacking ourselves. So we are content with the days work, actually felt we should've scored more at parts but it's good enough effectively. Glad the front two got 5 between them today and Valverde showing a dominating midfield display in particular pleased myself.
It's a decent start to the season, a good week, some positive displays but a lot of football to play so we just keep going.
well not the best game of football ever however a draw seems about fair looking at the stats at full time. From our point of view we are targeting the 40 point mark so it’s 1 more point towards that and away from home we are always going to be happy enough to take something from the game.
Been a decent first week at Oakwell with an opening day last minute winner, a comfortable FA cup win and a point away from home plus two new faces joining once the transfers are processed who will both improve the starting XI.
tough week next week as we face a very talented Newcastle side at St James Park on Monday, a banana skin of an FA cup tie on Wednesday against Stockport County before welcoming another very talented side In West Ham to Oakwell on Friday.
Oh dear. Very early of course but so far it's looking like sacrificing some ability for age in a couple of key areas is having a profound effect on the way in which we can aproach games. I expected a bit of a drop in results but so far its been insane. Like I say very early so not going to panic just yet.I
With the Gunners winning their opening day fixture against Everton, they made it two wins from two by picking up all three points against Newcastle United at the Emirates in round two to make t an unbeaten start to the new season. Although another strong performance from Arsenal, it was a case of pretty much the first and last kicks of the game which decided the score with Chiesa getting his third of the season after just a minute and sub Pepe cementing the win n the ninety first minute with his first of the season.
The Arsenal boss spoke after the game ;
" We said after the Everton game that we wanted a strong start to the season and with two league games and a cup game now played against three strong sides, we sit with with three wins which is exactly what we wanted. The early goal was the perfect start to the game and although we had the better of the stats and performed well throughout, we just couldn't find the second goal and we feared that they may just get back into it but it did come, very late on to get another win for us and make it two wins from two for us ".
Leeds United 3 - 1 Blackburn Rovers L_Jovic (42) P_Fornals (79) K_Havertz (61) K_Havertz (sent off 67) V_Osimhen (92)
A good win at home against a capable side. It takes us to 19 goals scored in our first three games. Not too shabby, pretty hard to keep up.We fully deserved our win after dominating the game but we had to do it for a fair while with only ten men after Havertz getting sent off, I now need to work on changing things up next game as we cannot play the same way without Havertz.
Good start.

Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds

Not much to say about this game but I feel we were robbed! Wolves had by far the better of the game throughout, but just couldn't make the superiority count. This was a game we needed to get something from if we hope to stay up. Late dodgy penalty (in our view) dispatched by former transfer target Asensio decided the match.
Played Kels.
Next game sees us travel to Manchester to face the mighty City. We've had decent games against them in the past but can we keep that going this time round?
