This was a big win for us as it closes the gap between ourselves and Utd who were four points clear of us going into this one so we knew it was vital we avoided defeat. Utd had the better of possession but we were good in all other areas and goals from Chiesa, Thuram and Pepe sees us put pressure on Utd going into the last few games of the season. Some of the other results went our way also which was a bonus.
We started this game with tactical advantage but it took until the 50th minute for us to find a goal that would give us a lead. With a change in tactics the away side turned the game on its head and by the 85th minute were ahead by 2 goals to 1. Luckily for us we found a late equalizing goal that gave us a deserved point. This has to go down as 2 points dropped but it could easily have been worse than that.
A decent effort, but the sheer gap in class was noticeable. We couldn't create much and our recent form has really not been good enough as we continue to slip down the table. It stays hard with Everton next, and our dream of top 14 is dashed essentially - however on a positive note we have confirmed DPT football for next season which is a solid improvement from our 18th (I think) place finish last season. All the best for the run in Nick.
Harsh result but little complaints in the reality of it all. C has been out kryptonite for a while and for us it's too volatile. But Arsenal scored the goals where we didn't and it sums up our inconsistent season. Yea there's been more injuries and suspensions here over the season but we dropped far too many points we should have taken.
It is what it is, well done to the Gunners is all I can say.
