    Leipzig 2-0 Sociedad

When the game doesn’t like you, the game doesn’t like you.
Countered P to N, went one-nil down, countered L to N and we concede a second. Better of the stats too.
In a very tricky position now but we will keep plugging.
    Well played to Leipzig.

      Marseille 2-3 Bayern
After the setback of losing Haaland for 3 games we decided to trust in our you AMs to play up top to get the goals. It went very badly to start with, dropping 2 goals behind by half time. A bit of a bollocking at half time, the players were told that they have to die to get 3 points. The manager was ANIMATED on the side line on the 74th minute but just 12 minutes later Bayern had not only drawn level, but scored a winner. Musiala proving again he is worthy of being in this team

        Lazio 0 2 Roma

The treble chasers won the Rome derby comfortably.

We controlled the game beautifully with 66% possessions. Ideally would have preferred a few more goals.

Looks like Drum needs to overhaul the Lazio attack. 4 FWs on A all game - creating only 3 shots on target. Embarrassing mate.

Big game next against the fallen giants in Madrid. Looks like we need to win the next 12 games to have any chance of catching PSG.

          Real Madrid 3 - 3 AC Milan

Obviously playing a bit loose with TAA playing AM late in the game to try and get abs for the high shooting defender. That said, thought we'd won it with a late goal only for AC to pull it back level.

Yet another draw in which we deserved the win. We have the 2nd most draws in the league, and almost every draw we have deserved on paper on the stats to win.

Will be getting the big C ready for Roma again next round.

it’s difficult to keep Roma quiet as they have the 3rd best team in the league,

and proven here we lost the battle all over the park,

to play A and create only 3 shots on target is embarrassing and something needs to change.

some of the fans are starting to get restless and is the manager doubting his position,

we will always try but against Roma I think we didn’t give it all, shame.

              Barcelona 1 Atletico 3

Well beaten by a good Atletico side in a disappointing performance from us.

We toyed with resting a whole host of starters but decided not to and were only without White and Anguissa. We stuck with a passing approach but it seems that replacing a 19 18 and 17 21 with a 16 12 and 17 11 against strong opposition is just too much to ask as our passing numbers were dreadful and we created very little.

It isn't going to get any better in our next match ahead of the Champions League final. As things stand we are only going to be without White for the final and we won't be taking any chances at all on Sunday - other than playing all the one week wonders we're bringing in to try and at least be semi competitive.

Well played Marshy - totally deserved today and another excellent campaign from you.

                  Schalke 4 - 1 Bayer Leverkusen

One game after getting destroyed by Athletico Madrid which resulted in the gaffer canceling the post match press conference, Schalke were again faced with the task of trying to compete against a Leverkusen side who destroyed us in the reverse fixture. Fully expecting Leverkusen to come out on the front foot, Schalke made a minor tweak in our approach. The adjustment worked as Leverkusen only managed one shot on target, which they converted.

Kral put in a MOM performance. He opened the scoring from an assist from Saul Niguez who also had a strong showing. Kral had a goal and 2 assists while Niguez added 2 assists and 5 key passes. Our strikers are still not doing much on the score sheet but rather have been creating space for our midfielders to manage the game.

                  Good game Jason.

                    PSG 5 - 2 Dortmund
We get our first sea of green for the season, but comes at a cost, with Bastoni out for 2 games. Despite taking an early lead we were trailing by 13 minutes and were beginning to regret starting with a back 3 with weetabix fingers behind them. We did manager to pull back level on the quarter game mark, but then it seemed like every shot was either being saved or going wide. Then, for the 3rd time in a week we brought on Tadic and he was a game changer. We dont tend to score goals in the final 3rd, but the last 3 games we have got more goals in the last 3rd than the first 2, and I can only put it down to bringing on the high powered sub. Despite bring expensive, he is turning into an astute purchase.
Looking at the stats i am amazed we only got 5 goals, with our biggest shotcount of the season at 56. Their goalie conceded 5 and still made over 100 abs.

In addition to Bastoni being out, we how have 3 players 1 yellow away from missing the CL final. Unfortunately, we dont share the luxury of being able to rest and play squaddies, with Roma breathing down our neck in the title race. Pino will be rested for the next game, but the others will have to run the risk of missing the biggest game of their careers.

                      Inter Milan 1 - 1 Juventus

A 3rd draw in a row for us in the league, but against a very capable team in Inter Milan.

Recent weeks have seen us pegged back by the likes of Inter and Atletico so avoiding defeat here was key....So we opted for all out attack.

Inter came into the game playing E, maybe expecting a lazy C tactic from us but despite TA, it was the hosts who took the lead on 37 minutes, forcing us to change up tactics to P.

After half time had come and gone, we got ourselves level in the game on 50 minutes with a goal from C_DeKetelaere, however he saw red on 75 minutes and will now miss the DPT final as a result.

The game ended 1-1 but both teams had plenty of chances to take all 3 points.

Statistically it was a fairly even game so I'm happy with a point. Good game GS

                        Schalke 4-1 Leverkusen

not sure what to say about this game, I was aware that giving up TA was likely but thought we had the strength to deal with it, but what followed was an obliteration. schalke were clinical and we barely created any chances.

Full credit for Schalke and Chris, it’s a tough gig in a strong division and they are in with a chance of staying up.

                        well played

                          Barcelona 1 Atetico Madrid 3

Atletico travelled to a Barcelona side on the cusp of champions league glory. This certainly helped the away side with Anguissa rested from the side. Atletico gave a very controlled performance giving the home very little whilst getting the three goal lead.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "It was another great performance in the league but we would trade places with the Barce season - the EFL cup already won and the champions league final to come. In fact 21 clubs in the league would trade places with the Barce season. With 30 points to play we have a now massive 18 point advantage over 09th place so it looks like we can renew our passports for Europe next season. Third place is very much achievable right now although we are the weakest of those chasing the spot"

A_Romagnoli 27 ita 1 21 14 13 improved his shooting perhaps making him more attractive on the eye.
                          J_Sancho 23 eng 1 2 17 22 improved his passing to 17.

The game ended the short stint for D_Da_Silva. Marsh commented "I tried to sign this lad several times but never had the finances to compete with the big teams who kept him for cover. Its a shame I got him several seasons later but its been great working with him for a few weeks. Da_Silva gets the opportunity of landing himself a champions league medal".

Atletico must now give minutes to Glik, Coleman and Gammelby

Next up are Sporting Lisbon a side who have struggled well beyond their qualities this season. Sporting have their own minutes issues with Gunnanig, Aspas and Lasagna needing significant playing time.

                            Inter Milan 1 - 1 Juventus

Not sure how to feel about this one, we had set up to go A but had a last minute change of heart expecting a lazy C from Juventus, turns out we walked into being countered but took a late first half lead, the game was very open both sides had lots of shots but Juventus scored just after half time via DeKetelaere who then got himself sent off on the 75th minute, we started to turn the screw after this and really thought we would have scored another as the possesion and pressure buiklt but in the end a fair result, we have a few teams chasing us with Champions League the goal we need to string a few results together tp put pressure on both the madrid sides ahead of us. gg shitty
