Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Last time we travelled to face juventus we lost 5-0. This time we only dropped all 3 points to a penalty. Didn’t plan on making the same mistake twice and came to juventus reliant on our strong back line and have taken a point away. They dominated the possession but overall a relatively even game.
good game andy. I know I’ll be happier with the point than you will.
An important win for our patched up side as we set up for the game with one eye on the upcoming Barca tie.
A goal from one of our stop gap signings Godin claims the points, although Elliot missed a late penalty. Should have won by more but we will take the win at this stage as we have had some rotten luck in the league recently.
More importantly we managed to navigate our way through this tie with only the previously already injured Albiol missing for the CL semi final. That was a victory in itself, considering we have 6 players 1 yellow card away from a suspension, some for multiple games.
GG Drum, don't be so nervous next time and attack us a bit
Atletico have decided to let an overseas football fan write the PMR this week. One S.Clark from Barnsley, UK.
Disappointing to concede a goal at the end of the game and ruin the clean sheet. Musso should be made available for transfer this week. More galling though was the inability to add a tenth goal. To have 9 goals by the 76th minute it was unacceptable of the players missing the chances to add a tenth. If Diaby had scored a fourth he would have increased a skill level.
(sorry Ed couldn't resist after your latest media efforts).
Simon Marsh commented "We have struggled all season to score enough goals so we are absolutely delighted to get a big score that will take us to at least respectable now in comparison to those around us. We now have effectively a 15-point advantage over 9th place and 6-points over 6th placed Inter and 7th placed Barcelona. However, we are looking upwards all the time and 03rd place is in our sights as things stand. We do have a difficult run in though with Barce (a), Real (a), Roma (h) and Inter (h) still to come with other sides who also earn respect"
No skill increases this week but Alvarez completes his minutes.
With 11 games to go Atletico have Glik, Gammelby and on-loan Coleman still to complete their minutes.
Lyon 0 PSG 5
Took our time to get going and it seems the injury to Brandt was the catalyst. We rested Bastoni ahead of the CL game, so Rice had to play defence again, but the addition of Lamptey gave us a little more balance. It was a slow and steady performance, and once it looked like the game was won, we brought on Tadic, who did as much in 33 minutes as Felix did all game. Bring able to bring on a 20-20 for the last half hour could be extremely useful in the run in. Pleasing to see both Hakimi and Lacroix both level up for the CL semi, and we break 100 league goals for the season. And the GK managed another clean sheet!
A poor result and performance for us today against a team who we'd previously beaten 3 times already this season.
A bit of a lazy, predictable sheet from us today and I fully expected Leverkusen to show up playing C so their P tactic shocked me and after an even, goalless first half it was the visitors who took the lead immediately after the restart.
We were behind and came out fighting with a change of tactic to A and after another even period of play, we got ourselves back into the game from the penalty spot as long time Roma target (And rightly so after ZERO goals today from 22 shots) A_Isak slotted the ball away.
The game didn't offer much for the final 21 minutes and we get a disappointing draw.
Statistically we shaded the game but not enough to win it. A weak performance from us, creating very little compared to usual.
An unexpected win to be honest given our record away to Monaco and the fact we rested 5 key players. As even a game as you could expect stats wise so the home side can count themselves a little unlucky.
Johnboy was generous enough to loan us defender M_Andersen from his caretaker club recently and so of course it was inevitable that he would be the one who popped up with the all important goal.
We managed to come through the game unscathed injury and suspension wise and so will be at full strength for the CL 2nd leg against Madrid. Going to be very difficult to turn the one goal deficit around but it's certainly not impossible. Got a lot of thinking to do as to how we will set ourselves up.
Crap Bayern LS Theory Nonsense 4-1 HS Amazing Mega Team
70% of shots on target is always a good thing and we made them count. Haaland out for 3 games but Tchua back for the next huge game. We still aim to make the top 8 and be ready for a rough season next season with our "shit" youths
First of all nice to see JB do a PMR he only does them in cup finals he wins so today was a big day for him now hes got it out the way you wont see another Bayern PMR this season. The game itself was just one of those days we outplayed Munich on their own patch, dominating shots, possession and every other stat except goals, again these things can happen and we dust ourselfs down and go again the fact Bayerns boss thinking he is some master tactician when getting lucky says it all as the once mighty team now aim just to make the top 8 after big claims of finishing 3rd just weeks ago. gg mate
