BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
This was a bit of a drubbing and Leicester are very good value for this result and absolutely deserve their win.
We are definitely weaker having to play squad players to make minutes but we always knew it would get to this. It’s more important for Porto to have a good squad for next season than to finish top two, particularly as they can’t go up.
May have to try and work out a more solid system for the duration.
Well played Leicester, I think they have a new manager?? If so congratulations mate, great start. All the best
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
What a great start to life with the Foxes!
Only just taken over and the team picked itself for the 1st game really but happy with the result.
A few transfers (in and out) arranged already but it may be a bit too late for a promotion push but beating the team in 2nd place hasn't done us any harm.
Apologies Tim, you would probably have wanted me to take over tomorrow.
Today's goals were spread around with 4 different names on the scoresheet.
Against stronger opposition this wasn't by any stretch a bad performance from us and we nudged ahead shortly before the end of the first period. The opposition who did have the better of this game had a late show, equalizing 79 minutes in before going on to win it with a goal at the death. A tough one to take but our opponents today deserving of the three points.
The usual fanfare leading up to the De Klassieker (Classic) between Ajax and Feyenoord. The formations for today's encounter at the Amsterdam Arena were hosts: 5-1-2-1-1 and visitors: 4-4-2. The match got off to a quick start for the visitors when Q_Timber received an up-field pass by G_Trauner and let loose a well timed kick that had the ball deviate past the keeper. Feyenoord added to their lead in the 45th when forward P_Goncalves converted a penalty on a foul by D_Sow. The visitors put the match out of reach early in the second when D_Hancko was able to connect with a powerful header into the net. Ajax’s A_Lacazette received a lovely pass from A_Fulgini late in the match giving his side a consolation goal. Yellow cards issued to Feyenoords Melendo and J_Rasmussen will have them both sitting out their next match.
Nice to keep up the winning streak in the league after midweek cup disappointment
We certainly had to sweat for this one though we just about deserved it
We switched tactics expecting the E, but didn't have the commitment to stick with it, and the advantage went back and forth
We had to rely on a late show from Dembele to sneak the game, ul dude
Nice to see other's around falter, but we have some tricky games coming up, so no relaxing
