DPT SF First Leg Post Match Reaction

Juventus 5 - 1 Brighton

A huge win today and a huge step in the direction of the final, however we have to go and finish the job at the AMEX.

We came into this game missing a key player in our striker C_DeKetelaere, but we felt we had enough to put in a good performance.

Despite expecting Brighton to play C, we trusted our P to do the job, but when the game started we were shocked to see they had actually started with A. This backfired immediately as we took the lead with the first action of the game through F_Wirtz, showing why he's the most prolific AM in the game this season.

At this point we switched to A ourselves as we knew if we took the lead, we'd need to build on it and take advantage of being at home, this happened within 3 minutes as Antony doubled our advantage on 4 minutes.

On 20 minutes, we took total control of the game and added a 3rd with a 2nd from Antony but we wanted more.

The half ended 3-0, but as soon as the 2nd half kicked off it was 4-0, with an effort from long time Roma target A_Isak.

Just past the 50 minute mark, it was 5-0 and we were in dreamland as Y_Adli notched another for himself and the club.

We thought it was 6 on 65 minutes, only for N_Gonzalez's goal to be chalked off, followed by a Brighton goal 6 minutes later.

The game ended 5-1 and statistically we dominated the game, maybe not to the tune of a 4 goal advantage but we deserved to win for sure.

The second leg could produce a result like this for Brighton so we aren't getting ahead of ourselves just yet but this is a very pleasing result. Good game Peter.
