    Nottingham Forest 2 - 1 Real Betis

    Good win over Mr 747.

Was a relatively close game though but goals from Malen and Johnson was enough to win the three points. We suffer a key injury to a defender though which will be tough for our threadbare in transition squad.

    GG Evan.

      Watford 5 - 5 Feyenoord

The fans were the overall winners this afternoon, privy to a goal scoring bonanza along with a match that would be decided in the final stages of regular time. It looked like the visitors were going to run-away with the match going ahead by two in the first ten minutes. However, the home side not about to capitulate answered the call in the 35th cutting their opponents lead by half. Though, not for long as the pride of the south would regain their two goal advantage two minutes later. A set piece converted by Watford in the 39th kept the hornets alive, bringing the scoreline to 3-2 at break; advantage visitors. The second half would see much of the same, as the exchange of fire continued. The home side made quick work of it levelling the score at three in the 49th. The 71st minute, though short lived belonged to Feyenoord as they netted number four. Not to be-outdone the hornets would return the favor in the 79th. Surely not a day for the faint of heart with both sides scoring one more in the span of a of 60 seconds at the 86th minute mark. When all was said and done, the battle weary crowd, some shell-shocked would see a total of 10 goals for the afternoon. Not enough for a win, but good enough for a draw. The goal scorers for the day.

      Watford: C_Under (35), I_Louza (39,79), J_Ngakia (49), R_Manaj (86).
      Feyenoord: P_Goncalves (3,86), M_Pederson (5,37), E_Gutierrez (71).

        Atalanta 2 - 4 Villarreal

A very good away result for us against a good team. We certainly had the better of this game and by the midway point was a healthy three goals to the good. Atalanta enjoyed a mini revival during the second period and pulled the game back to 3-2. We stayed the more dangerous looking side though and found another goal to give us a two goal cushion which is how the tie stayed.

          PSV 3-2 Sunderland

Whew! For nearly all of this game I thought we were going to lose, as Sunderland seem to be having lots of chances
We went 1-0 and 2-1 down, but this team weren't going to let their win run go easily.
Sunderland came at us with the A, and nearly got a reward for it. We had to switch tactics to get back in the game, ul dude
It's was a very open game with lots of chances, which we just about edged
With Digne out we managed to get Simakin full game minutes, but it nearly cost us
Fortunately we have a full squad for the cup semi in midweek, which will not doubt stop the winning run, 12 in a row
          Oh yeah, top at last!

            Porto 0 - 0 Valencia

we can consider ourselves very unlucky here. The stats show that we were better in every department and should have won the game, their keeper getting man of the match emphasises that point. Another day we win 2 or 3 -0 but today it wasn’t to be. That’s football, real life and FFO, can easily happen. All credit to Valencia, they barked and got a point to show for it.
We fall off of top spot for the first time in a very long time, never expected to get there never mind stay too for so long. PSV looking invincible but I’ll not give up. We may fall short but either way I’m delighted to even be in the conversation for the top few spots and we will keep fighting.

            played Matt. Good game bud
