BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
I don’t think I’ve ever won a game with such conviction. The score line does flatter us but we have come out deserved winners. To be given a penalty and have Sevilla not get one minutes later showed the way this match was going.
Unlucky Raingod, you’ve built a good team just not clicking at the moment
The first of two trips away to the Banks brothers would likely define whether Atletico are a side with a chance of finishing 3rd place or a side trying to hold on to a top 6.
This was a very competent display from the away side who deserved this victory through 2 goals from Diaby and breaking a poor run of form Sancho.
The top-4 all won their games but 6th to 9th all lost so this was a major step forwards to finishing the season high.
Managers Simon Marsh added "It is always pleasing to beat the best managers out there especially in their own back yards and this was a terrific effort. Still 39 points to play for but we have a 13-point advantage over the 09th place side now and champions league football is looking very likely for us again".
Tonight saw Dabo return to Marseille with Coleman coming in on loan for the remainder of the season. With Da Silva likely to be sold before long, Coleman will add a little strength to the bench for the remainder of the campaign.
In a must win game against my old team we buggered it. Well played to Chris, they deserved the three points. Our chance now of avoiding the relegation playoffs looks slim but can only give it our all.
Good game Chris
Utilised the strength in depth we have for this game to protect the ones due a ban if they got a yellow card, which was 4 first team players. The players we have brought in though are good players and will do a job, and that's what they did today with a solid win over last seasons title challengers Sporting Lisbon who have had a torrid season down in the depths of the bowels of the league table.
Goals from Hojlund, Sterling and one of the cover guys Godin sealed the comfortable win. The tricky test of Barca next. We will need to think hard about our game plan as we face the GOAT.
AC Milan 2 PSG 4
Yet again we concede from the fist shot of the game and we were chasing the game. We thought we had got our nose in front on 27 mins, only for the gaol to be disallowed. We shortly went behind again, and trailed at the break. We managed to draw level again on the hour mark. We finally got our noses in front on 84 minutes before managing to escape late penalty shouts. We wrapped the game up on 88 with a 4th, only to see Thuram get an unnecessary red at the death.
AC Milan seem to blow hot and cold - if you can score first you can typically win when they flip to A, but with their 22 rated DFs their defensive formation can be hard to break down as we found today.

A very good win against a great manager with a team who we've found it hard to beat in the past.
We came into the game not really knowing how our hosts would line up but they shocked us and came out fighting against our passing style of play.
The opening minutes were back and forth with both teams having spells but in the 9th minute, C_DeKetelaere was shown a yellow card, ruling him out of tonight's crucial clash with Brighton in the DPT semi finals.
The away end went flat after this but we picked ourselves up and steadied the ship, taking the lead through F_Wirtz's 20th of the season on 36 minutes. At this point we matched Monaco's attacking style as we looked for more goals.
We doubled our lead on the stroke of half time through A_Isak and headed in at the break with a 2 goal advantage.
Into the second half and Monaco controlled the first 15 minutes and that was probably their chance to get back into the game, but we put the game to bed on 67 minutes as C_Deketelaere notched another, proving why he's stayed at the club as he moves onto 21 goals for the season.
At this point Monaco changed their approach to E, which gave us TA and we smashed in a 4th on 81 minutes as substitute J_Forlin ended the scoring for the day.
Statistically we were the better team, but not by 4 goals. We were clinical in terms on shots on target..11 of 15 on target while Monaco created almost as many chances as us but they failed to convert many of them into something meaningful.
Good game John. Maybe we'll meet again this season in the DPT.
Classic smash and grab with an 87th minute winner. I thought we were out played, especially against Sociedad's backup keeper. Our attack was not able to do much against their defense. The reverse played out in a similar fashion with former Royal Blue Konate taking the 3 points for Sociedad. Tough loss Freddie, good game.
We started well, scoring a very early goal from Coman whos started life at Inter very well, but Courtois went off on 7 minutes and we combusted, Mark Travers came on and had a very good game but we lost grip of the game very quickly after this, the game was very even but we just couldnt add to the goal and soon found ourselfs 3-1 down in a clinical Dortmund performance, Coman managed a second and we turned the screw a little but just could not get the goal to draw the game, these things happens no complaints we played well enough but just was not our day. gg mate
No complaints at the score line or the performance that we put together with a weakened side which was always going to make it tough for us to come away with anything.
Despite starting without 4 key players we were still right in the game on the hour mark at 1-1 when we replaced another key player with a squaddie and before you could blink it was 2-1 Roma. A late change to all out attack had the expected outcome when we conceded again!
It is what it is, we had to protect certain players ahead of the CL semi and we'll go into that game only missing A_Z_Anguissa which was the main priority today.
Well played Derek, a deserved 3 points for you. Good luck for the run in.
