Had a few selection issues going into this game and ultimately paying the price for carrying a small first team squad, something I personally accept full responsibility for. With the players available I decided to adopt a cautious approach but without being over negative and in the end we weren't that far away from grabbing what would have been a good point. It was though United took all the points and without doubt deserved them. Onwards and upwards.
A really good win this against Newcastle who are having a really good season which included knocking us out the semi finals of the cup so a bit of revenge in this one. Both sides created plenty of chances but yet again two of our goals come from Correa from midfield to take his tally to 14 now, well on the way to end the season 20-20 while the other goal came from Locatelli who is having a superb season debut season in North London since his move from Roma. Need a good final quarter of the season to get some players their skill increase, plenty of offers coming into the club so we could see some changes ahead too.
We face a depleted side, probably could've been bolder in our approach but got the job done which is all that matters in the end. We felt them being weaker mainly up top we could open up a bit but chose the back 5 just to get minutes on some players who need a boost really. We did play well, we deserved the win, just need to keep these results coming to summarise.
We seem to have gotten in to the habit of making things difficult for ourselves recently, conceding clumps of goals. Going three behind last week and now being pegged back after being two up today. Perhaps the loss of Lenglet for three games can be part of the explanation. Either way, it's making winning games a challenge, but today we battled back and showed character and ensured all three points went back to Yorkshire with us. Jordi Alba remarkably getting his TENTH goal of the season from defence and also the winner.
Most of the teams around us won today so this is just a case of keeping up with the rest. Good win and deserved. Well played Ryan.

I think? Look, it was very disappointing to lose to a random sheet, first random sheet that made sense in about 6 matches too, very unfortunate. Shame we couldn't get something from the game as we are now losing touch with the teams above and could be drawn into quite the battle for the final european place or two or even relegation if a bad run occurs. Hope to see Mike back sheeting soon.. Cheers.
Comprehensive win for the Blues, against the golden wonders. It was deserved, and we put four goals past the opposition as well, wow makes a change. A good win that at least keeps us in the mix. Good game mate.
