what the actual fook. 3-0 down in 4(four) minutes. That’s an explosive start from Schalke.

so our game started on 5 minutes. As we set about clawing something back from an atrocious start.

De Paul had us thinking with a 19th minute strike, but we couldn’t force home our dominance of shots on target and possession,

straight after the break depay gave us something to go at, 3-2……

next came a Tanganga equaliser followed by a Semedo goal that shockingly gave us the lead on 66,

but the efforts were dashed by plucky Schalke on 69 mins….

Juventus 0 - 0 Real Madrid

Both managers try the counter on their opponents and it leads to a predictable very poor, dreary game. It was the definition of a shit game. Madrid didn't play well and Juve probabaly deserved the win on the day.

On the surface of it though, it was a tough away day and a point isn't to be sneezed at. 4 points from the last 2 against the Super Banks Bros seems a par score though.

Can't say GG AB as it was a shite game, but yeah, virtual nod or something.

Leverkusen 2-0 Rangers

Ive been on the back of some unfair score lines this season, but this is the reverse. 2 shots on target, both in.

if I was Burrows I’d be feeling a slight rage on this one.

Barcelona 4 - 1 RB Leipzig

Predictable loss against the ulta defensive Barcelona but Leipzig managed to equalise at one stage through Milik and in the first meeting of these teams only lost 2-1 so I could understand there cautious approach. Still in the bottom 3 and obviously looking grim but will keep fighting till the end

Sevilla 1-3 Sociedad

Nice to be back in the dugout after being away for the Dortmund match.
Brilliant performance from our team, can’t really pick a fault. We got an early TA and took full advantage of that with a goal and MoTM award for Jota as well as a brace for Ibrahim Konate. Match stats we controlled and until Sevilla scored a late consolation goal we never really looked in any trouble.
Stew and Sevilla do seem to be having a terrible run of luck this campaign and hopefully they can turn it around.
The win moves us to within two points of Dortmund and that’s our aim, catch them.

The usual cowardly approach from a midtable manager with fading hopes of glory.

Bayern created plenty of chances but with Haaland isolated up front - they struggled to make them count.

Easy game next so a chance to rest a few players as we attempt the great escape on Tuesday.

The Sevilla boss was pelted with tomatoes at the end of the match as boos rang around the stadium calling for his resignation .. now 5 points from safety and things not looking good ..

A desparate reach out to try and buy Dybala and Kroos this morning were made too late as both already sold .. Raingod will be looking to complete a deal today that improves the main skill of any starting position. ...

Inter 3 PSG 3
We found ourselves 2-0 down inside 5 minutes having faced 2 shots. Looked like it was going to be another of those days, but somehow we managed to claw back into the game and went in at the break all square. 5 minutes later and we were in front. It looked like we were going to pull of a great turnaround, but in the final moments of the game the referee decided to ignore the better placed linesman who was flagging for offside, and rob us with the last kick of the game
Disappointed in the way we drew the game, but at 2 down inside 5 minutes i would have taken a draw.
Didnt expect to win the game, but i expected Bayern to put up a better fight at home to Roma, although looking at the stats i believe roma were rather fortunate.
GG GS. Twice you have been the worse team yet managed to get a draw.

Barcelona 4 Leipzig 1

Apparently we’re ultra defensive which is probably just as well as I dread to think how many we’d have rattled in if I’d played more positively.

A comfortable as it gets type victory, even with ten men. Keeps up our good recent run.

Unfortunately we’ll be missing players away to Lazio on Sunday and with others being rested ahead of the CL it’s a great opportunity for Drum and his boys it really is.

Anyway good luck to the ultra positive Leipzig and their attempts to avoid the drop.

Atletico Madrid 3 Lyon 1

Lyon have a better side than their league position says but this was one that Atletico were hoping to win to make some ground up on others around them. Alvarez, Paqueta and Vinicius scored the three goals with Werner getting a later consolation effort.

Only 3 of the top 11 won their games so it was a great round 26 for Atletico who have opened up a huge lead over the 10th/11th teams and a minimum finishing place of 09th is expected from here on in.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "This was a decent performance that sees us improving our league position. We are devastated by the late injury to our in-form Vinicius who will miss Dortmund away and the champions league game away at Barca. We have a big decision to make now with 3 players 1 booking away from also missing the quarter final".

Juventus 0 - 0 Real Madrid

As Steve said, a C vs C game that wasn't the most exciting game to read, but I'd have taken a point before the game so we'll see it as a good result as in the past we would have lost this game.

We did actually manage to score on 28 minutes, only to see the goal rules out for a foul on the Real Madrid goalkeeper.

Not much else to report, other than long time Roma target A_Isak being sent off on 78 minutes, ruling him out for the trip to Rome.

Statistically we were the dominant team and really should have won the game, but we'll take a point and move onto the task of Roma away without our best player. But they'll surely be low on confidence after their dreams of a treble have fallen apart in a matter of weeks.

Inter 3 PSG 3

we matched them and took the game to one of the best squads around and raced into a 2-0 lead, thats as good as it got as PSG scored 3 in a row i thought it was going to be one of those games we have had so often this season where we play so well but leave with nothing but we got a last minute equaliser which was more than fair, the stats suggest a fairly even game with PSG perhaps just edging it but no surpise really with the players they have available but we gave a good account of ourselfs and move onto Rangers away on Sunday. gg mate
