    PSG 3-0 Leverkusen

Away from home, against the quality of the team that Ed has built, with two defenders suspended. It was one way traffic and the only surprise was how long it took for Ed to score.

My keeper actually had a semi decent game and managed now to concede a hatful of goals without saving anything.

All in all, a rather predictable but disappointing game where we offered little hope of providing a surprise result.

    Good game Ed

      Lazio 4 - 8 Juventus

Mixed feelings on this game. Delighted to score 8 goals, but disappointed with conceding 4 and with Real Madrid & Roma on the horizon, our new 20 rated defenders don't seem like they'll be up to the task.

We knew that Lazio were without their GK and best MF so all out attack was the way to go again, but I was shocked to see Lazio match our tactics.

We took the lead immediately through S_Botman (He needed PS abs not SH...balls!) and the floodgates opened. Isak doubled our lead just a minute later and by 20 minutes, C_DeKetelaere had made it 3-0.

F_Wirtz on 25 minutes and N_Gonzalez on 32 put us 5-0 to the good and in complete control.

It was 6-0 on 36 minutes after C_DeKetelaere notched his 2nd of the game but then Lazio pulled one back to reduce the deficit to 5 goals, only for us to score a 7th just two minutes later through Antony.

Lazio scored a 2nd in injury time and we went into the break leading 7-2.

Into the 2nd half and Y_Adli made it 8-2 on 57 minutes and we thought we might break into double figures but it was Lazio who scored the next 2 goals on 72 & 84 minutes to see the game end 8-4.

Statistically it was a very even game, but with Lazio playing a 17 rated GK, we scored 8 of our 13 shots on target.

      Good game Drum.

        Banks 2.

so this is what I expected Bayern to exploit. The weak keeper,

well, I’m not actually sure how to dissect this 1. 6-0 down on 36 minutes played, AB AB AB. How on earth did you slip from 6-0 to 8-4.

3 of our goals from Araujo and Semedo with Memphis getting the 4th. Personally I feel the 2 Banks need to take there boys to the tactics room and show them the games again,

without my no1 keeper i aggregated
9-4. If you’d offered me that prior I’d have taken it.

        gg Ab

          Roma 1 0 Sevilla

Another dreadful attacking performance only scoring 1 from 20 shots. Might need to bring back Neymar.

On the plus side we avoid the embarrassment of dropping below Juve. No change at the top as PSG continue their title procession.

We've got the chuckle brothers for our next 2 matches. Not sure my fragile ego could cope with losing to them again.

            RB Leipzig 3 - 3 Schalke

Disappointing result going 3-0 up with 20 minutes to go all points in the bag then a bad tactic change and concede 3 goals but it is what it is. Martial with a superb hattrick and deservedly MOM is all that can be taken out of this game. Still in the bottom 3

              PSG 3 Leverkusen 0
Completely expected the C, so got sucked into trying TA but it was a waste of time. We seemed to huff and puff, tried a few formations, and finally got the breakthrough on 33 minutes. A single goal lead is never comfortable and we had to wait until the second half when we got a second. At that point our visitors opened up and it was disappointing to only add one more, considering the weakened defence we were facing. a goal per 8 shots is average for us, so a 3 goal haul is par. Unfortunately the top 7 all won, so no change at the top, and despite our great run, we cannot shake off Roma. Very interesting round on Thursday with 6 of the top 8 facing eachother. I don't expect to win away at Inter, but hopefully some of my rivals also drop points.

                Real Madrid 3 - 2 Bayern Munich

Reversed the scoreline of the 1st game earlier in the season. We raced into a 3-1 lead with young prospect forward Rasmus Højlund opening the scoring to impress the watching scouts, including those from our opponents today who were rumoured to have bid £285m for his services a couple of days ago before pulling the offer.

Elliot who was a similar prospect a couple of seasons ago but now a fully fledged star also scored with defender Kimpembe the third. Bayern pulled one back in the 2nd half but we played the game out professionally and took home the three points. We were a little lucky to win the game perhaps on the stats with Bayern not having their shooting boots on today (or the right strikers!) with many of their pot shots off target. GG JB.

                  Napoli 2 - 4 Inter Milan

A comfortable victory, we had a fair idea of how Napoli would line up and we dominated away from home, we scored 4 but perhaps could have scored some more, the only negative today was conceeding two slack goals on the 90th and 92nd minute in a game that should have been a clean sheet. PSG next who we have a good record against of late. gg Chris

                    Sporting Lisbon 1 Barcelona 3

A dress rehearsal for the EFL Cup final on Tuesday and whilst it was nice to win I'm sure Gaz would much rather win the cup game - as would I.

In terms of this one we rested our best GK, defender and midfielder whilst Jesus was also missing through suspension. Pedri then limped off after only 15 mins to be replaced by a 12 rater so I can't say I was full of optimism at that stage. Surprisingly we took the lead against the home and tactical bonus through new signing Aubameyang but Lisbon got back level early in the 2nd half. However we were not to be outdone and after we replaced Mahrez with another back up we somehow scored twice to come away with an excellent win.

No question a draw would have been the fairer outcome but luck was with us on this occasion and I'm sure Gaz will be hoping that it swings his way tomorrow night.

Lisbon diced with Lewandowski missing the final through a booking but got away with it and both sides will be at full strength for the final so I guess that's a good thing.

See you again tomorrow Gaz - the law of averages suggest you have to win sooner or later.

                      Rangers 1 Atletico Madrid 3

                      GG Aaron

Tricky away game against a decent Rangers side. Fell behind to the first attack of the game. Responded by goals from Diaby, Paqueta and Vinicius.

Manager Simon Marsh commented "A great win but as always it seems to be the minimum requirement keeping up with the Jonesy's with 8 of the top 9 winning".

                      Next up Lyon at home.
