Ah well, back to the match, we knew how Palace would set up and used the risky set up away from home, and it eventually came good despite the first goal running against us. But, stayed strong and turned the game on its head, before the "big game player" lost his head and got sent off to add to Nkunku getting a booking another MF missing the final..... Who cares, we'll work with what we have. We got 3 points which is all that matters in the league. We played the right way and it's another final, we go missing an arm.
Well beaten here, we held tight for a while but Arsenal's strength and HA (and later TA) was too much for us. To be honest 1-0 flatters us, and we now must regroup and move on in our aim to try secure European Football for next season. Well done Arsenal and all the best for the remainder of the season. We get back to the training ground and will practise passing to hopefully see us create more chances in our next game.
An entertaining game served up by these two teams that produced plenty of goals and kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. We had the better of the early exchanges going ahead after eleven minutes of play with our opponents levelling the match shortly before the interval. It wasnt log into the second period we suddenly found ourselves two goals to the good with further goals but then lost two players in quick succession to a red card and also an injury. Liverpool pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 but we held on for the three points despite the away side pushing us very hard.
We had to work hard for this win that's for sure. The only goal of the game coming just before half time, a rare goal from Thiago which won the game for us. Stats wise we did really well and it should have been by a greater scoreline but Barnsley were a tough side to break down on the day and on another day, it could well have been a case of sitting here talking about a draw. We seem to have hit a decent bit of form lately although a big test in the next game with two defenders out.
Played mate, best of luck for the rest of the season.
back on track after a dreadful result against the dingles last week. We set up with the risky E and kept with it the whole game. Stoke, as anticipated played a C and our tactical approach paid off with a commanding performance. We deserved our win and duly got it. With everyone around us winning it’s a case of keeping up with the jones’. Good win for us though and as I said, back on track.
well played Stoke.
