The headline looks worse than the game suggests, but shit keeper theory has hit me when I could have done without it. 1 save and 3 conceded, i feel dejected following this.

Barca 3 1 Roma
Our track record against Barca in the cup is abysmal. And so it continues.
We decided to play 5 up front and try to batter them into submission. Goretzka dropped to the bench in favour of Tadic for his extra shooting.
We quickly conceded 3 goals and despite throwing on an extra attacker leaving a risky 4 at the back we couldn't convert our chances.
The treble dies.
Outclassed again by the GOAT.

Barcelona 3 Roma 1
Derek is being harsh on himself, there was no outclassing here. We played well and stuck a few of our chances away but Roma were every bit as good as us and I'm sure on another day it would be them marching onto the final.
It's a competition we are desperate to win, this will be the 4th time we've got to the final in my time here but we've lost the previous 3 and we're finding it difficult to go that extra step and lift the trophy.
Gaz and his Lisbon side in the final. A great guy and someone who I have a lot of time for which I'm sure he knows. 50/50 really, not a great deal between the sides at all. I'm sure we're both looking forward to it.
