      Lazio 3 - 1 Blackburn Rovers

with a free game as we had already won the group, and mbappe serving a suspension, we set about playing to consolidate and get the full mind for all players.

      R_De_Paul (Man of the Match) C_Pulisic (18), N_Mazraoui (35), R_De_Paul (81)

the game was pretty even and somewhat a shiny result that made us look better than the game panned out.

anyway we play a runner up.

      ac
      juve
      liverpool or
      West Ham.

      gg.

        Leeds United 2 - 0 Juventus

With ourselves and Leeds already through to the knockouts, this was a free hit to get some fringe players some much needed minutes and mainly a chance to chase some abs with neither finishing 1st nor 2nd a true preference.

Having said that I am sick of playing Leeds now, in Round 1 we were the better team and somehow lost 3-1 at home and today we go down 2-0 when the stats were pretty even. Hopefully someone knocks them out for us.

Onto the game, we played A vs their P and within 20 minutes the hosts were 2 goals to the good and there was no way back for us.

We go through 2nd and will play one of Lazio, Brighton and Monaco while Leeds will face either AC Milan, Liverpool or West Ham.

        Good game Tim.

          Leverkusen 0-1 Southampton

As the final whistle blew, the Bayer Leverkusen manager couldn't shake off the feeling of disappointment and unease. The match had been a rollercoaster of emotions, and his team had fallen short once again. The fear of not being able to secure a win was evident throughout the game. Despite having control of the possession, the team struggled to convert their chances into goals.

The defensive errors, like N_NKoulou's unfortunate mistake leading to a dangerous opportunity, haunted his thoughts. He watched as his players missed crucial chances, with R_Jimenez hitting the woodwork and shots sailing wide. The opposing goalkeeper's impressive saves added to the mounting frustration.

The manager's heart sank when Southampton managed to break through, with G_Ramos scoring that decisive goal in the 57th minute. He could almost feel the weight of the pressure on his shoulders as the scoreboard tilted against his team.

Though his players fought hard, the fear of not being able to turn things around lingered. The lack of goals, the near misses, and the inability to break down the opponent's defense all contributed to the unsettling feeling of defeat. As the manager analyzed the match statistics, he couldn't help but worry about the implications of this loss on their future performances.

Heading into the locker room, the manager knew he had to find a way to lift the spirits of his team. The fear of inconsistency and underperformance loomed large, and he needed to instill confidence and a sense of purpose in his players. It was a tough challenge, but he understood that he had to navigate this turbulent phase and steer his team back on the path of victory.

              Leeds United 2 - 0 Juventus

Another good win, always good to keep momentum going. We were not too fussed either way about the result given that we had already qualified for the quarters. We hoped to milk as much abs as possible which we did just about okay in.
Looking at the stats we were the deserved winners and were definitely the better side so a deserved win.
That’s the double complete over Real and Andy. Happy enough with that. I’ll await the defeat to Real in the final
Not fussed who we get in the next round, we just have to take this kind of form into whoever we play and we should be fine
