Pleasing win considering we gave full game time to all our fringe players that require minutes. We knew we would struggle to qualify for the knockout stages unless Fulham beat RB Leipzig so it was a no brainer to field a weakened side. As it turned out RBL won making this match redundant.

Back to the league now and our tussle with relegation. Next up a trip to face Sheffield Wednesday.

Sociedad 2-0 Nottingham

Nice way to round off our group campaign with three points to the win the group. We were deserved winners which is especially pleasing since we played a lot of squad players to get their minutes. MotM went to Zarraga in midfield playing one of the few games he’s started this season and means he’s not far off uprating.
To qualify is a great achievement to earn our player more minutes and hopefully more cash.

Barnsley 2-0 Schalke

A great win which saw us leapfrog Schalke into the knockout round for the first time under Harris (and possibly first European knockout for a long time?). It’s crazy that this Barnsley side have now played 8 more games than Frankfurt. Abs are fast catching up. Unlucky Schalke all the best for the rest of your efl campaign.

RB Leipzig 5 - 1 Fulham

Comprehensive win against group leaders Fulham in a game we had to win to guarantee runners up spot and qualify for the quarter finals of the DBC cup. Both strikers, Martial and Milik, scored twice to keep our decent form going and confidence is high which hopefully can carry on into the EFL.

We needed the draw to progress, and scraped through by the skin of our teeth.
We tried playing conservatively, but were two nil down and had to have a go, and fortunately we got the goals we needed.
