Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
It was definitely a game where the scoreline deceives. We did start well and quickly went a goal up. We carried on scoring and found ourselves 4 up at half time, but once both teams went attacking Arsenal had much more of the game, creating more chances and will be perplexed at the end score line.
I think the early parts of the game we did deserve to lead but as the tie went on we can only thank our goalkeeper for keeping them out. A huge win and result, but we know we're now missing a big player for Tuesday night with Adeyemi getting sent off but hopefully getting a couple of players rating up might help us.
Well we were the better team on the day despite Aston Villa being the better team on paper normally a draw like this would be great against a top side but that's not the case today being better side and to concede in 94th min doesn't sit well with us atall so a disappointing game really today the villains got lucky.
I suspected that we would have given up tactical advantage in this game which we did for a large part. Blackburn are no mugs so I knew we was at risk today but as it turns out we performed well in what proved to be a very evenly contested match. We drew first blood but in a game that saw both sides creating many chances the home side eventually nudged ahead with just under twenty minutes of play left. It was at this stage that the home side attempted to shut up shot, a move that probably cost them two points as during the final stages we pushed them back hard and as the game was about to reach its conclusion we deservedly smashed home a leveller.
Solid win away at Selhurst Park. Goals from Myron Boadu and Steven Bergwijn, both in the first half, secured the win. Perfect display defensively and we’ve been very good in our defensive play all season. Boadu has already scored 16 goals this season and is well on his way to a new club record. At this pace he might be keeping the captains armband when we reach the half way mark of the season. 350 abs from leveling up and it would be mad to remove his 500 extra abs.
As stated through other media outlets, we started with a 13, a 14 and 2 15s in what was a controversial move to try give much needed game time to the fringe players + we have a big game in the cup on Tuesday. Credit to the lads, and we somehow came away with a draw, and had 17 attempts at goal. Man City edged the stats, and bossed possession so we will definitely take this point. Would like the GOATs opinion on the game, but I am proud of our efforts. All the best to Nick. Can he hold off the chasing pack?
our excellent away form continues. We went behind and looked like we might struggle for the first quarter of the game but we really bosses it and settled into the game after. It was an excellent game with both teams really going for it. They played their part in this but there can be no doubt we deserved this win with an excellent t performance and result.
with Man City dropping points we have bought ourselves back into it after the slip up against man untitled the other day.
Juve next up in a dead rubber as we are both through.
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
Unless we start to find some form, the trap door to the Conference beckons. Thought we might have snatched a late draw when sub 13 rated MF Max Bird grabbed his 76th minute equaliser. But we just couldn't keep the stable door bolted and Brighton scored their winner with three minutes left on the clock. We tried but there was no way back for us that late in the game. We desperately need to tighten up at the back to give Aaron Ramsdale a bit more protection and for our front players to take their chances if we want to stay up. But at the moment the mood in the camp is not great and it's not looking likely.
Well played Peter.
Next game sees us back in the DB Cup against Borussia Dortmund where our chances of progression hang by a thread.
Simply not good enough from myself or the side. Stevie Wonder would have seen through my approach to this one. Lazy late sheeting with a tactic that we have found fortune and disaster with over the last couple of seasons and we got well and truly found out.
Against a rival in the league aswell, we should have put up more of a fight for this one, a tough fixture away from home so I take the absolute shafting that we got given and try and put it to one side.
