West Brom 2 - 2 Villarreal

This a game that we could have easily taken three points from but instead we found ourselves two goals to nil down before the clock had even hit 15 minutes. Always the more positive looking team on the day we deservedly managed to pull the game back all square and probably should have gone on to complete the turnaround but for some poor finishing in front of goal.

PSV 0-1 Porto

Robbed by dirty Porto! We dominated the stats except for fouls and red cards, which says it all :P
We gambled on going attacking, and whilst they countered us, we had the lions share of possession and chances, just couldn't convert, which has been our problem this week. Well done Timbo, ya dirty bastid!
Despite a good start, the 3 losses this week has pushed me into making a few changes, so who knows how things will go from here on in!

This is the exact opposite of the Leeds game the same round.
We were well and truly done on stats and didn’t deserve anything from the game. We certainly showed incredible character as we were up against it all game and only had ten men for most of it.
The beat goes on.

Luton Town 2 - 2 Nottingham Forest

Decent away day performance. Forest had the better of the stats but had to come from behind late in the game to secure the draw against Luton Town. Most of our squaddie minute plans are now pretty much straight forward due to our recent trading, so we can pile on the minutes to the main guys mostly going forward once one or two small pieces are tied up.

Frankfurt 4-3 Sunderland

Defensive frailties continue - my keeper just isn’t performing. Conceding 1 from every 4 shots or so. Will have to look into his long term future. But, I guess the positives here are the win, and coming back from being behind 3 times. We welcome back our best defender for the next game. Maybe that’ll help? We have a terribly difficult run of games coming so we must improve. Gg mate
