In a display of sheer brilliance, my Bayer Leverkusen side outplayed Real Madrid on their own turf. Right from the start, our superiority was evident as Raul Jimenez's stunning volley gave us the early lead. Real Madrid struggled to match our impeccable tactics, and despite their feeble attempts, they managed to level the score only momentarily through a lucky deflection off Mendy's shot.
Their frustration was palpable, as they desperately resorted to tactical changes that only highlighted their desperation. Even with a man advantage following McGinn's sending off, they couldn't break our resilient defense. Our meticulous control of the game was a sight to behold, and Mar Antonio's audacious lob from outside the box was the icing on the cake, sealing our victory.
Real Madrid's feeble fightback, showcased by Elliot's late goal, was a mere consolation. The final scoreline of Real Madrid 2 - 3 Bayer Leverkusen is a testament to our tactical prowess and their feeble resistance. The Santiago Bernabeu became a playground for my triumphant Bayer Leverkusen, leaving no doubt that we are the superior team in every aspect.
Outwith Drum making the match report 700 pages long it was an odd game, we have had a dip in form but in all honesty the games we are losing we have done more than enough to win never mind lose and this is another one of those games of not taking our chances, we had more of the stats, more shots on target but we find ourselves losing for the 4th game on the spin, these things cant be helped as the performances have been more than good and we just battle through it, we took the lead early today and squandered chance after chance then Lazio come out and score two and that was that, an odd run of form and an odd feeling to we are doing everything correct and playing well but the luck just isn’t with us at moment, it will change. gg mate and sort your conditionals

Yeah man form atm is up and down. Winning against gs is always hard, and when you earn a win you should feel good. I feel good. We went behind (as usual) but fought back. Pulisic being the star of the show. Stats I don’t worry too highly about, we scored more I’ll take it…..
conditionals are being looked at for the kick in overlays,,,,,, sorry buddy.
PSG 1 Barcelona 0
Not a great spectacle, but one of those where the result was more important than the performance. Cant remember the last time i beat barca so great to finally get one. We managed to restrict them to 6 shots, of which only 2 were on target, so our useless goalkeeper didnt have too much to do. Our defenders had as many shots as a forwards, and a goal got credited to one of them. Puts us 2 points behind Roma, who still seem unstoppable, but level with RM. Got to hope that our rotation policy and low DP gives us an edge later in the season.
GG Livi - my turn to win for a change
Took an early lead through MOM Martial and couldn't really capitalise on it with Marseille's keeper on good form, held onto the lead until late in the second half when Marseille equalised and a few minutes later took the lead. Can't really complain Leipzig have had a decent little run so onwards they go.
We got what we deserved here which was precisely nothing. PSG hit us with the old 1-0 and C tactic and we barely laid a glove on them. Ed was saying he'd lost all interest a couple of games ago but that seems to have changed again. Drama Queen extraordinaire.
As for us we've been pretty dire in the the league so far this season, some bad luck and some poor management. Long way to go to try and climb back up the table though.
An impressive away win against a strong Lyon team who are struggling for form this season.
Coming into this one, we couldn't put our finger on what Jason would do tactically as he seems to mix things up fairly regularly so we opted for P, as did our hosts in the end.
It took less than 2 minutes for us to open the scoring and what a goal it was by F_Wirtz, showing that he's clearly the best 20 year old German in this league....
We both switched to A and 12 minutes later, the wonderkid had doubled his and our tally for the day and we were in control of the game.
The next goal to come in the game would be key...If it was ours, the game was over but if Lyon got it then it was game on. LYon scored it on 29 minutes and we had to battle hard to keep ourselves in the lead.
In the 33rd and 34th minutes there was controversy as we first saw ourselves have a goal not given, then Lyon felt they should have had a penalty and thus the chance to even the score, however we went into the break with a single goal lead at 2-1.
Just like in the first half, we scored within 2 minutes of the start to stretch our lead back to two goals as DeKetelaere scored his 14th of the season.
This lead lasted just 4 minutes as Lyon fought back again to bring the scores to 3-2 on 51 minutes and our lead, while a single goal, looked very fragile.
We wrapped the game up on 66 minutes as, somehow, Carvajal sliced the ball into his own net to restore our 2 goal advantage and despite losing Antony to injury 5 minutes later we ran out 4-2 winners to extend our little run of good form.
Statistically we absolutely crushed Lyon today so we were well worth the win. Good game Jason.
Played the biggish three in a row and despite another decent performance it was another pumping.
Real Madrid 22-15 shot count and lost 0-4
PSG 16-17 shot count and lost 2-5
Roma shot count 12-17 shot count and lost 0-4
This was a somewhat lazy attempt from Monaco, the 5 man defence that had served us well in the previous 2 matches was retained although Giles and Cataldi missed out as Cresswell and Haidara returned to the starting line-up.
Monaco had the majority of the game in the first half but 10 minutes before half time Dolberg found himself in space in the Monaco and was able to get a shot away which flew past Hradecky in the Monaco goal.
We made a few changes in the second half, with Aubameyang replacing Jovetic with 15 minutes to go, and with virtually his first touch he put the ball on a plate for Coates to score his third of the season.
Statistics suggest that we deserved more from the match, but having gained 3 points against the stats against Roma last time out I'll take a point from this match.
Good game Freddie, good luck for the rest of the season.
We've been punching above our weight for sometime but now we've hit a string of poor form. We were lucky and arguably underserving of a point in our midweek DB Cup draw, our league match with Rangers was a complete lackluster performance.
Rangers controlled the match from start to finish and deservedly got their 3 points, propelling them further up the table and seeing us sink lower into the danger zone. Good game Burrows.
Only have myself to blame for this. Messed up conditionals and went to A in the first minute…
All credit to Monaco though, they deserved more than the three points. Thankfully for us Umar Sadiq kept up his fine form with another goal.
The squad is developing nicely and continues to earn ABs. If we can keep going strong with this next season will be looking good regardless of which division we are in.
Good game John, best of luck for the rest of the games.
3 points dropped with this one. Felt like a top heavyweight who doesn't take some low ranked journeyman seriously, and somehiow takes a loss they should never be taking. Feels dirty to lose to Leverkusen and Chat GPT Hopton.
To be honest we didn't give this game too much thought due to outside stuff, but I expected Hopton to try an N here so we decided to flick in the counter P but unfortunately the away side stuck to the tried and tested C and they got the first goal of the game. We then switched to A but from there on we scored two and they scored two, so the A didn't do much better. One of those disapointing games. Leverkusen got 8 shots on target from 9 shots. We got 9 on target from 15. We certainly had the better of the game and perhaps Leverkusen got lucky with their shots on target ratio. Not good enough though. These games happen though, we are veterans of this game now and we know how to handle things. Onto the next game.
