      Spurs 2 - 1 Gunners

We played a brilliant football game and after going a goal behind we turned the around and took the win. We had a massive 28 attempts on goal, 18 of them hitting the target. We also managed to get 24 key passes. Scoring only two goals from all those attempts is credit to Dean Henderson in their goal.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Steven Bergwijn got the goals. Bergwijn’s first for the club. A massive win knowing The Gunners found themselves only three point behind us before the game but the win gives us a little breathing down to the chasing pack.

        Burnley 5-3 Aston Villa

Something of a goal fest played out at Turf Moor with the home side ending up well on top. Burnley started the avalanche of goals 18 minutes in from the penalty spot but by the midway point it was my lads that looked the clear favourites in this game as we went in 3 goals to 1 up. The second period though belonged to The Clarets as they ran riot scoring a further 4 goals and in the end deservedly took all three points on offer.

          Stoke City 2-2 MANCHESTER UNITED

First random in a while and random I guess it turned out. We faced a 424L, with a 12 and 11 up front. Yet it pretty much worked wonders. We trailed and then turned the game around, before the 11 rater came off the bench and equalled teh game. One of those that happen, we did everything we could but once again we didn't do enough with our finishing and it was a poor display at the back which cost us.

            HT: 2-1

This proved to be a tease of a game. We held a clear two goal lead twice in this match only to see the lucky magpies edge themselves back into it. At least we scored some goals which has been a problem of late, but now we are letting them in!! Possession wise there was nothing in it but we clearly had the greater and better chances on goal, so I suppose you could say our issues in front of goal remain.

            Well played Chris.

We take a break from league action to travel to Dortmund for our next game in the DBC.

              Southampton 0 -3 Leeds United

A good solid performance from use here and a good response from a disappointing defeat in our previous game.
We went for a P for the first time in a while and it was pretty effective on this occasion. We dominated the game and the stats reflect that as well as the scoreline.
Back on track and hopefully we can get another strong run going. DPT next though and a tough game against Leverkusen.

                Spurs 2 - 1 Arsenal

Injuries to two key Defenders saw us having to shuffle th epack for this one and when I saw it was the North London derby and away from home, coupled with their good start I did fear the worst so to come away with a 2-1 loss after looking at those stats, it could and should have been a lot worse.

We took a gamble in the deal for Lamptey by letting two first team players leave so there will be games where we are a bit short here and there but in the long run we will be happy.

Never nice to lose a derby game but we did the double over them last season so Ed has some sort of revenge. Thanks to our keeper for not letting it become an FFO cricket score.

                  Everton 1 - 2 Chelsea

Good win against a strong side and manager. After the 1-0 reverse against Man City last time out, it was important too take the points in this one. We did just that in a deserved win, good game mate.
