Great win for Wolves in this crucial game, but it came at a huge cost as it was revealed afterwards that Stoke City supremo Mike Bridge had decided to stand down. I'm not going to talk about the match as this news totally overshadows the game itself and rightly so. I've crossed swords with Mike over many games over the years including in his own game that he ran in ESL. I'll miss our contests! Great shame to see you go and hopefully you'll get your interest back at some point and be back to get revenge for this latest result between us haha

Good game as always Mike. You'll be sorely missed.

Our next game is another home match, this time we welcome the Toon Army.

      MANCHESTER UNITED 4-0 Barnsley

Simply threw everything we had at Barnsley and got our rewards. We no doubt have a better team but we've slipped in these types of games before so to get the big win is pleasing. Happy to see Fati react to his bad form, a man of the match display coupled with a goal will do him wonders. It's been overdue this kind of game and result but we need to continue with this effort if we're to one, catch in the league, and two have any chance of salvaging our shoddy European form.

        Leeds 1 - 2 Spurs

Disappointing result this one. We got it wrong tactically, going W expecting C which invariably we play but instead it was a P which gave spurs the edge.
This is the sort of game we should really be winning with all due respect.
Stats wise there is no doubt we were actually in unlucky to lose this but that’s the way these games can go sometimes.
Again, no complaints, is what it is.
Well played Mr. Ed all the best bud

          Aston Villa 1-0 Everton

A change of tactic for us from what we more commonly play and it didn't turn out too bad. Everton set up as we expected and after going a goal down stayed fairly negative and as a result the game never reached any dizzy heights in terms of pure entertainment. Our goal coming approaching the half way mark through Raphinha who has had a fairly quiet time in front of goal so far so this one hopefully gives him a confidence boost.

            Whites 1 - 2 Spurs

As Tim mentioned, we rode luck in this one. We all been on the other end and it can be very frustrating. Great sportsmanship Tim and always a pleasure to face The Whites.

Nayef Aguerd scored the opening goal and we had a narrow lead at half time. Jordi Alba got the equliser with twenty minutes left of the game but a late goal from Pablo Dybala won us the game. Great result for us and hopefully we’re able to go on a good run the upcoming weeks.

              Chelsea 0 - 1 Man City

Stepped up to the dug out for AB. Countered the away side producing a 15-10 shot count and forcing the away side into 12 tackles verses our 3, so we felt unlucky to conceed a very late 87th minute winner in this game. Chelsea deserved at least a draw here, maybe the win, but it shows that they have the ability to beat the likes of City who are just a quality team.

                Arsenal 1 - 1 Boro

Its games like these that we have to be getting maximum points from especially at home but on reflection of it, Boro fully deserved the point from the game which wont set any head lines on fire. A pretty dire affair between the two sides and one that we have to look back on and see it as another point on the board rather than two points dropped because we didn't really deserve anything more.

Another injury which has come at the wrong time but a shuffle of the pack ahead of the next game is in order.

Blackburn Rovers 1 - 3 Southampton Well fourth defeat on the bounce we fall back in to the same pattern every season were we start off decent then go on a downhill spiral so let's hope we can snap out of it or will be another disappointing season for us.

                    Man United 4-0 Barnsley

my biggest FFO defeat perhaps? Or second biggest. Decided to try play against the reigning CL winners, got taught a lesson in football. We go again next week! Well done Steve all the best!
