Valencia 0-0 Atalanta

Valencia and Atalanta played out a frustrating 0-0 draw at the Mestalla Stadium on Saturday. The home side had the better of the chances, but were unable to find a way past a well-organized Atalanta defense.

Serge Gnabry was named Valencia's Man of the Match after a lively performance. The German international created several chances and was a constant threat to the Atalanta goal.

However, Valencia were ultimately undone by their own finishing. They had several opportunities to win the game, but were unable to take them. Chuba Akpom's red card just before the halftime whistle scupper any chance of a second half rally.

Remembered to sheet for Leeds at the last minute and somehow totally forgot to sheet for Porto. Poor from me, don’t know how I’ve managed that….. old age I guess.

Villarreal 2-1 Cardiff

The away side set up with a counter attacking style and that initially paid off for them as they went ahead just on the half hour mark. That lead didnt last long though as we levelled the match five minutes later and with a change of tactic on the hour mark we picked up a bit and grabbed a late winner. To be fair to Cardiff they can count themselves a little unlucky having had the better of the stats especially the shots on target count.

Sheffield Utd 0-5 PSV

Delighted with the big win, though the scoreline was very harsh on Utd and Kels.
We countered their attacking play from the off, though they switched to C after the first goal went in, so can't really claim tactics were the cause of the scoreline, sure we edged the stats, but it was one of those days where one keeper plays well, the other has a stinker.
Utd were top of thereabouts, and I think we might possibly be now, so a real top of the table clash.

West Brom 2 - 0 Nottingham Forest

Countered the home side, but it wasn't enough as West Brom scored twice in the middle of the first half and deserved the victory on the stats. Forest need to improve as getting TA isn't enough sometimes when your just not good enough. Improvements have been made though and this was our first loss in a while after a run of 3 wins. So not to worried about this one, and we have made another move this week securing a 14-17 DM from Schalke so we will see how we can integrate him into the team.

Frankfurt 2-2 Luton Town

Shocking performance. Got it wrong and we just didn’t do enough. Luton now haven’t lost in 5 I think? And our promotion hopes stutter again. Really can’t get it right and not happy with the lads to be honest. Not good enough conceding twice against Luton with our defence…(without our best defender but still!) well done John

As above it ended in a draw but Atalanta were lucky to get a point Valencia were the better side had more chances but losing Akpom I think scuppered there chances of anything more than a draw so I'm.happy to grab a point here for sure.

Leicester City 1 - 1 Norwich City

Really no excuses, we were predicatble, out of ideas and in all honesty not having my full attention, we were lucky to draw this game its perhaps one we should have lost but on paper beforehand should have won but i put that down to my distractions and onll can apologise to the fans and the players, i have decided to step down from Leicester after tonights games, thank you. gg mate
