Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA OPEN!!
So nearly went with the scissors instead of the rock here, but stuck with what's been a winning formula. After a tight game with the visitors playing 7 at the back the away side walk away with the three points. Was an even game, looks like our passes advantage didn't convert into shots in this one and it wasn't like the oppos made many tackles - so a little run bad on that calculation has cost us. Can't complain though, the visitors picked paper to our rock and they won a 50-50 game. Played Derek the treble is on.
Disappointed by the result here. Got my tactics spot on and Barca lost their keeper relatively early on, but we did nothing to capitalise on that.
In the end the higher quality players shone through and made the score line give the view to an easy game for Livi and his boys which I don’t think reflects the game itself.
But, all that said, Barca are a top team with a top manager and whenever you travel away to those teams it’s extremely challenging to get a result.
good game livi, I would say hope I don’t draw you in the EFL semis, but the alternatives are Lisbon or Roma, so….. not sure I’m going to get an easy draw
Great performance from the lads. We gave a far better team a real run for their money and were unlucky to lose.
Umar Sadiq put in a quality Motm display and ran the Lazio defence ragged.
Unfortunately when you are up against the likes of Mbappe and De Paul you are going to need a bit of luck and sadly that didn’t fall our way today.
Performances like these make me confident we can stay up.
Played Drum, good game.
We played a very good game but the better finishing told in the end. We chose to be positive and played extremely well against one of the top sides in the game. But performances don't guarantee points although this was our best in my spell, the result is all that matters. The main thing we need is to find more goals as a team I don't know if Euan has any plans or anything but running the two strikers we have I don't think would be enough.
PSG 7 Sevilla 0
Extremely harsh result on Sevilla. Based on shot count and the respective teams, a 3-1 win would have been more appropriate. Another rare clean sheet for our keeper, making it 2 in a week, although still one of the worst performing in the league. Surprisingly our visitors cam with a 4222L against our very strong P giving us 2 early goals before they switched to Attack. Seems like we picked them off at will, despite losing 2 key players (also for the next game) to injury.
We have had a relatively easy opening 12 games, most of which have been at home, and I always felt that if i was to challenge for the title i would need to be clear at the top at R12. Unfortunately, I dont believe 1 point is enough, and I wouldnt be surprised to see Roma edge in front before the R21 halfway point.
Another poor result and performance from Leipzig, they are really struggling in the EFL and it's looking ominous already after 12 games. The teams in this league and that means them all are far to strong for Leipzig, so it's going to be a long season preparing for relegation but they will give it all with a total change it tactics and lineups to see how they will set up in the Conference for the future.
The scoreline flatters us as there really wasn't much in the game. We were fortunate to go in front having started with a long ball approach and I felt a lot happier when we reverted to passing it after that. A Saint_Maximin double and a Jesus penalty with the all important goals.
Talking of fortune, or lack of, we had already lost our goalkeeper to injury before we took the lead and he'll miss the next 3 games which is a right kick in the teeth - mind you it was the same last season. Relying on our back up for 3 tough games next week including the Champions League definitely isn't ideal although he has performed well any time he's been called upon.
Unlucky Jase, as you say you got your starting tactic spot on so can count yourself unfortunate to go behind and the result definitely flattered us.
We came into this one knowing that Marseille would be hard to beat, with their very sought after goalkeeper leading the team and with caretaker manager Steve Outten no doubt looking to get one over on a so called big team.
We'd noticed that our opponents today had previously played L and N a fair bit so we opted for P even though we fully expected them to change things up for our visit and they did just that.
They played P themselves which was a shock and after a goal less first half where both teams had chances, our Belgian striker scored with the first chance of the second half to give us the lead. With this we went on the hunt for more and switched up to A which immediately worked as C_DeKetelaere doubled his tally for the game and score his 11th of the season.
We made the switch back to P and looked to see the game out which went well until the 84th minute, when the hosts pulled a goal back and put us under pressure for the remaining minutes, however we saw it out to leapfrog Leverkusen and break Jhop's heart.
I'm just glad he's got a semi final to keep him relevant otherwise he might talk about quitting every other day like he did the season he was almost relegated.
Statistically Marseille were probably the better team here today so they'll be disappointed to have lost this one. Good game Steve.
The latest in managerial gaffs was probably the worst yet. With the game close to kick off manager Simon Marsh was nowhere to be seen. Where was he? He was back in Madrid wondering where his players were and why no fans had turned up watch the clubs big home game.......
Thankfully the assistant manager had the teamsheet in his pocket and was able to pass it on the referee. The players were fantastic without Marsh with a commanding 9-19 shot count and with tactics that were meant for home soil!
Manager Simon Marsh commented "Tired tired tired. Sorry sorry sorry. I watched the game in the bar at Madrid with some fans and had a kebab on the way home. I just need some more sleep to get back on track".
Vinicius_Jr improved his tackling to 7-15-21
A_Romagnoli improved his passing to 20-14-12
In the lead-up to this match, following a succession of poor results I had fully intended to go with a back 5 with my 2 defensive midfielders sat just in front but at the last stroke I decided to stick with a back 4.
Realistically I have no idea where this result came from! We lost Haidara to injury in the eigth minute which saw Danilo Cataldi to come on and replace him but almost immediately we took the lead as Jovetic scored to notch his 5th of the season.
On the 26th minute Immobile grabbed his 5th of the season as he pounced on a rebound from his own shot to give Monaco a 2-0 lead, 10 minutes later Leipzig scored through Milik and we reached half time with Monaco holding a slender 2-1 lead.
Just before the hour mark Immobile got his second of the game to put Monaco 3-1 up before Leipzig grabbed a second through Martial with less than 20 minutes left in the game and I was expecting us to throw it away.
The game remained even for the as we approached the final whistle until Monaco scored twice in three minutes in injury time as Aubameyang and Arthur scored to leave Monaco with an undeserved 5-2 victory.
Not a game that we deserved to win by that margin - but given recent performances it has been coming!
Good game Mike, good luck for the rest of the season.
Although we were over matched, I was hoping to pull out a point. Schalke equalized at the start of the second half but Inter were having none of it, recapturing the lead two minutes later. I thought Correa would repeat his late match heroics when he came on but it was not to be on this day. Inter had a chance to close out the match with twenty minutes to play but were unlucky, that gave us hope to apply some pressure for the remainder but we couldn't capitalize. Good game Gary.
Perhaps predictable on how we would play but we believe at home we can beat anyone and today was one of those days, a tighter game than we would have liked but the result with decent ab return is all that can be asked of the team, we are up to 4th and i hear we are 4th on the abs list that some managers keep so all in all exactly what we would want at this stage. GG mate

stats in this were pretty even, think the opposing manager should feel somewhat agrieved, his sociedad team put up a good performance,
on to our performance, after our crap run in the last three games, we bounced back with three points, that is all i can really be happy about,
mbappe and aouar with the goals and mbappe with the best player in the side, some nice abs shared about, only issue was trippier injury, but we can cover that,
