Quality performance against The Potters and we had secured the win within the first half an hour. Goals from Myron Boadu, Nayef Aguerd and Dominik Szoboszlai earned us a three goals lead at half time. Pablo Dybala added the fourth from a spot kick twenty minutes before full time and we managed to get back on winning ways after two games without.
With two key players missing through injury we had reservations going into this game and perhaps played the match over cautiously. It was a very tight affair with goalscoring opportunities for both sides at a premium and it was the home side who snatched the only goal of the game midway through the first period. We have suffered a lot of injuries so far this season and this has affected our outlook in games, hopefully the injuries become less frequent which will give us more confidence going forward.
Bit of a tetchy affair this one with six bookings, three for each side. A miracle no one was sent off! Very little between the two sides either on paper, judging by the stats or watching the game. This was a closely fought match that could have gone either way. Everton had home advantage but Wolves had the tactical edge throughout. Both sides seemed to cancel each other out for large parts of the game, but new signing Gabriel Veron provided the turning point as he found Maxence Caqueret in the box who then slipped it past the Everton keeper for the only goal of the game.
Unlucky Will, could have gone either way.
Our next game sees us back in the DB Cup playing hosts to RB Leipzig who we will be hoping to overturn to get our cup campaign back on track after two losses.
Another good win for us here today. We countered Brighton's A with our C, although I am not a fan of playing C, it has worked a treat for us today and gotten us a good result to carry on our good start to the season.
We were marginally the better side and looking at the two sides I always felt that we had a huge advantage in our goal threat and so felt if we could around about match them stats wise we should convert that in to three points and that translated on the field fortunately.
Excellent form us again and we hang on to the coat tails of Man City who have a perfect start winning all of their games so far as the machine marches on. We will try to keep pace but it will be tough.
Played Peter.

I mean what to even say about this one not only did we lose our best fw 2 mins in making no chance for us to come back after going down one but its made these next 3 games coming up very interesting, well played to newcastle though was always gonna be a hard game for us even if we didn't lose muniz at the start happy stats wise I think we did pretty good but not looking forward to the next couple games now lol
Our first draw of the season at game nine sees us take a point from Selhurst Park although if our strikers could hit something, it should have been all three. As it was, we went a goal down early doors but a late one by Kounde salvaged a point.
The stop start season continues, we just cant hit any sort of form right now and with ten games nearly gone, its a bit concerning but no panic buttons pressed just yet. The positives being that a few players are getting that bit closer to skill increases and based on our form, it cant come soon enough.
Our expectations and standards have plummeted within a week. I'm not sure what has gone on, but 1 draw in 4 games (all competitions) is abysmal and to be honest it could've been a few more for City today.
Sure, in hindsight, playing attacking football away from home is always a huge risk but I felt we needed to give a reaction and today the only reaction was a blank one from myself.
No complaints, but time to look at everything and maybe change the squad a bit, because this is the final wake up call.
Could have gone either way really, so Im relieved we got the goal, and it proved the winner. A good three points against one of the better sides in the Premier League. Good game Ian, and unlucky.
The Delort show rolls on. 7 goals for the forward now and he is two ahead of his tally from the entire last season… a very impressive win here. I mean, stats wise we got lucky, but to come away from a good manager and side with this kind of result makes us feel like we can finish in Europe. Unlucky mate.
