Nice to get a win under our belts for a change especially against a team much stronger than us. A goal from our front man Ajorque just ten minutes in was the difference between the two sides and you could argue we just about deserved the three points on offer today. The aim once again is to qualify for the DBC, a competition we narrowly missed out on last season but with the rub of the green we can hopefully get there this time around.
Well, there it is, our first points away from home this season, and boy were we made to work hard for it. A very even game, we gave up what we suspected to be TA as we wanted to rest an away formation and tactic, it did pay off but to be honest this game could've gone either way. A very even affair. We look forward to having our star striker Koume back for what will be a different test against Tim's Porto.
Always like playing Tony, it started C v C here, but we switched it up to P later on, and that's when the goals went in
We put in a good performance, and the stats seemed to show we were good value for the win, gg dude
Faivre had a good game in midfield, and En-Nesyri found the net again, and took the man of the match award
Up to 3rd, nice to be in the mix, which is our aim. Next up is Ajax, local rivals I guess
"Sunderland will feel really hard done by, to be 3-1 up and even 3-2 up with 2 minutes left to not even get a point and lose 3-4 is a hard pill I know all too well to swallow, we did setup for this as a possible scenario but didnt expect it to be as much of a shift as that, we gave Veiga and Thuram the nod knowing we could bring 2 very strong subs into the game in Terrier and Zaniolo, it worked out a treat because the subs scored 3 goals between them and turned the game from 3-1 down to win 3-4, but it doesnt make it any easier for an opposing manager to accept, a great result for us however and our win streak continues, we now say goodbye to Terrier and Zaniolo as Leandro Trossard and Eden Hazard arrive on the scene today in a hope to strengthen the ever increasing challenge of a promotion bid"
Been in the job 4 days, and already beating Ed who's been in charge of Cardiff for ages. Made some moves, better DM coming in, generated some more money with trading on the lower end and reduced needed mins. The initial work is almost done, and then we will move onto the next stage. Forrest are off the bottom of the league now up into 17th. Let's see what more progress can be done.
Close game but lost 1nil ajax with home advantage took the game alittle gutted but we need to improve and hopefully Foket will help steady us at the back when he arrives and hopefully perform better in future matches.
What were Fulahm thinking ? D Tactic at home while near bottom of the league, it took us by suprise i have never seen a team be so negative but we pounded them, we managed 13 shots on goal and had all the play of the game we just couldnt score, thats the only thing i would say was wrong with the game as we did everything correct apart from break down the 10 man wall, the boys played well but just one of those games where we do not leaave with the three points we deserved. gg Joe
Valencia were unable to find a way past a resilient Villarreal side as they lost 1-0 at the Estadio El Madrigal.
The Bats dominated possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances, while Villarreal made the most of their opportunities and took the lead through Ludovic Ajorque in the 10th minute.
Valencia's best player was Rodrigo Garcia, who was a constant threat in midfield. He won the ball back well and played some dangerous passes. However, the Valencia attack struggled to find a way through Villarreal's defense, and they were ultimately punished for their profligacy in front of goal.
Valencia as a result have dropped to 5th in the Conference League table.
Valencia are at home to English side Sheffield United in the Conference league, whilst Villarreal are away to Scottish side Celtic. Both games will be played on Sunday evening.
