Now I know how it feels to be one of ABs side missions in life, bent over, violated and left at the side of the curb for the next person to come along.
It was a game where every line that started with Juv felt like it would end with a goal flying past the helpless goalkeeper.
As a manager, all I can do is hold up my hands and say I let the players down with my tactical decisions. I don’t know if as a manager I will ever recover from this match. It’s a humbling from hell.
There was a time a few seasons ago where we were battling out in the playoffs, side by side, equal teams. But the gulf has never been wider.
I can only apologise to the fans and the rest of ffo for the abysmal performance, was it better when we didn’t have Europe? I could moan and whinge but I never felt humiliated last season.
Good game andy, next time please bring lube to the party, I won’t be walking for weeks
This was never going to be an easy game, the saints have a good team and a good squad. They developed very well over the last few years under Jamie and he’s been patient.
It always felt like it might be “one of those days” having a goal disallowed early and then conceding straight after against the run of play but we didn’t roll over and I’m really pleased we fought our way back into the game.
Ultimately it’s 2 points dropped in a tough group but happy to show some character and come back and get a point although on stats we should have had all 3 really but no complaint, don’t take your chances can’t complain.
played Jamie, good game mate

Hard match for us here, even if we got away with the 3 points, lady luck smiling upon us once again.
First of all, I had readied the formation thinking they would be under caretaker one match more, but Mr Burrows took the seat once again, so we faced a totally different team and tactic than we were expecting.
Even with this disadvantage, we were able to take the lead through our French Captain the always-reliable Antoine, who scored his 5th of the season.
Fun began there, immediately Rangers took the initiative and tied through a scorcher of a shot from "Bobo" Weghorst who would be Rangers' best performer and also score the 2-2 at the start of the 2nd half.
First Half would end with Milan 2-1 up after Pierre-Emile Højbjerg scored in the 32nd minute.
As mentioned before, right into the 2nd half, Bobo would tie the match, and then Kevin Volland would put Rangers into the lead for the first time in the evening. While Milan's manager would start worrying, considering that this was just another loss at the DPT, and probably an early sentence of just being eliminated at the group phase, he sent the team up to full attack mode.
This new tactic would be beneficial for the Italian side, as they would quickly find a chance to equalize the match, only 4 minutes after Rangers took the lead, Hojbjerg's header after the awesome assistance from Gio Simeone would find the back of the net, and Milan's hopes would improve, just a little bit, as a tie was not enough.
With over half an hour left on the clock, the match was far from ending. Both teams were looking for the 3 points and would be Milan who would find yet another goal, when at the minute 73, Gio Simeone would be again taking the spotlight in a play, and after a pass from Perr Schuurs, scored the 4-3, that gave Finkelstein peace once again.
The end of the match saw little action, and a celebration for Milan, who saw their hopes to stay alive in the DPT back on their hands.
The negative outcome is the 2 weeks injury for Theo Hernandez, which is a great blow ahead of the match against PSG this Thursday, bringing down, even more, the hopes of being able to catch a result against the current ROE Leaders.
Everyone knows that the rivalry between me and Jhop is fierce so this one was always going to be a big result for whoever won it. We looked at playing a lazy C tactic, however after our opening game slump in Leeds, we needed a result in this game so opted for P.
This gave us TA which we instantly took advantage of, scoring with the first and third actions of the game to give us a 2-0 lead after just 12 minutes.
At this point, we looked to become compact and Leverkusen looked to avoid a battering as we both changed tactics to C but this didn't help the visitors much.
17 minutes in, Leverkusen saw a key defender limp off and be replaced by a squaddie and just 5 minutes after this we were 3 ahead and just past the half hour mark we'd made it 4-0.
Into the second half, and just to give them a chance, N_Gonzalez picked up his 2nd booking of the game and took an early exit on 57 minutes, followed by Leverkusen going for broke on 65 minutes, changing to A.
This instantly resulted in a 5th from our sub defender who'd literally just come onto the pitch and the game was over.
Statistically we were much the better team, limiting them to just 1 shot on target. A really good win and the group is shaping up to be very exciting. Good game Jhop.
