As I said on discord earlier, this is absolutely a game we should be winning but you never can tell in FFO. I have the opposite fixture with Porto playing Roma in the dark side cup but still harbouring far fetched hopes of a win on penalties with our D holding them out

Anyway onto the task in hand, we are far the better side on paper and showed our class by winning not only comfortably but at a canter. We dominated the game and dominated the stats which is par for the course in this match up really. Even so, I am pleased we made easy work of it and got some really lovely abs. Havertz had a field day.

MANCHESTER UNITED 2-1 Stoke City

Well, I felt it was a close game which the score suggests but the stats say it was a bit more one sided?

Regardless, I feel the first goal was the key, we then scored the next action and it finished the tie. Before Stoke got their goal we endured the conflicting conditionals. We then saw the game out, we're in the hat for round 3 that's all that matters.

We can play better, and will do for sure as we develop over the season but we did enough apparently in this match, so we move on.

Southampton 1 - 5 Chelsea

In all the years Ive played this game I still dont understand it. We play Saints in the league away ,they play a 13 rate keeper, and we get done 1-0.We played them in the Cup away with there first team keeper on duty, and we thrash them 5-1,I dont get that at all. Still Im not complaining, just pleased to go through to the next round. Good game mate.

Blackburn Rovers 2 - 0 Arsenal

Away at a side who have started the season well in the Premiership wasn't the ideal of draws that we could have hoped for but we got a job well done away from home and book our place in the next round thanks to goals from Locatelli and Thiago. A game that the stats suggest could have gone either way really as it was pretty even but Im just glad to get the win that gets us into the next round.

Blackburn Rovers 0 - 2 Arsenal Well we got beat in a relatively close battle but arsenal are a exceptional side and they mananged to do something we couldn't and that's score well done to darren and his side and al the nest for them for rest of the comp.

Barnsley 3-2 Brighton

Through to the Quarter Finals! Maybe I go back to Barnsley full time... as for the game, we went down 2-0 and really struggled, Brighton went to D, and we somehow managed to score 3 goals after a few tactical changes as the game wore on, Delort now has about the same amount of goals as he scored the entire last season, with Solanke still yet to score (they've swapped from last year!) We are delighted with the result, and really look forward to seeing who we get in the final 8 of the competition. A great achievement so far. Unlucky Peter, all the best until we meet again!!

MANCHESTER UNITED 2-1 Stoke City

We’ve not picked up any results away from home this season and tried to counter the home side from the off.

We successfully managed to counter but were unable to take advantage due to how good of a side United are.

With Witsel missing too keeping a clean sheet was impossible. The positive is we managed to score. Focus on the league and home games it is.
