West Ham United 0-5 MANCHESTER UNITED

It turned out to be a lesson in finishing but for sure we had a huge element of luck. We know West Ham flick their set ups but we felt at home they'd be positive and opted to set up as we did. It was a close game, but playing attacking you'll create chances but it's if/ how you take them. Once we got two up we changed it up a bit and then further once we got further ahead. We have great adaptability but we know we have a huge game on Friday, whilst having to navigate Stoke in the cup.

We've started very well, but have a lot to do this season.

      Crystal Palace 1 - 2 Blackburn Rovers

Happy to get another win under our belts we was the better side not by much but enough to capitalise we've still alot of improving to do early days so theses wins need to keep coming.

        Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

Had a couple of selection issues going into this game so ended up putting a square peg into a round hole with one player and gave a full 90 minutes to another player who would normally keep the bench warm. Once again we was countered throughout this match but came out of it narrowly on the winning side. The breakthrough came approaching half time and it was a well taken effort by back man Militao who inflicted the damage on the away side. A deserved three points in the end.

          Citizens 3 - 2 Spurs

Even though we lost this one, we have to admit we rode luck in this one. The home side dominated the game and deserved to win the game. Only luck kept the score low. We had two attempts on target and scored on both. They had far more than us and we never looked like getting anything from this game. Just happy we’re done with one of the toughest away games all season.

            Arsenal 3 - 0 Stoke City

In terms of chances on target, this result is harsh on Stoke City as they had more than us on that front. Other stats we did well in and managed to get back to back wins from games that last season we struggled to get anything out of so we are happy with that. Pleased to see Madueke get a brace for his troubles and another from Locatelli who is enjoying his start to life in North London. Five games in and nine points, could be better but we move on to the next.

Seems our away form isn’t too good this season. However the gulf in class here was evident and the home side took their chances before Witsel got sent off and there was definitely no going back at that point.

We did try something a bit different in this game and will try something different again in the cup on Tuesday as this idea didn’t work.

Good game Darren! Good luck in your next games!

                Brighton 1-4 Barnsley

One of our best performances since we made it to the Premier League. A fine display, with some clinical finishing, tough defending and great midfield work saw us run away comfortable winners against a strong manager and good side. Our best defender, Ismaily, got sent off, so he will be sorely missed for our cup game against the same opponents tomorrow. Good game Peter, and we roll on to the domestic cup against each other!

                    Leeds 4 - 0 Newcastle

This was about as comfortable as it gets stats wise, we absolutely hammered them and Newcastle were lucky to escape with 0 points. Not a single shot on goal.
With a few players missing it made most sense to go A and have a real go at them and that’s what we did. It certainly worked well and we gave their C a proper trouncing.
A little blip last time out is hopefully just that and I hope we can continue our good form. All players available next game should help.

played Geordies, best of luck until we play again.

                      HT: 1-0

Another good performance from little Wolves against a top side away from home. Only conceding one goal and having more of the possession is pretty good for us at this level so early in our maiden Prem campaign. But not so good is the fact we are struggling to carve out many opportunities for ourselves in front of goal in comparison to the home side. Pedro Goncalves is clearly short on confidence as he continues to search for his first goal in a gold and black shirt.

                      Well played Ian.

We move on and next up is a 2nd Rd FA Cup home tie against Newcastle United.
