We've not dominated a game like this in a long while, and when they do you feel for your opposition a bit because sometimes these games happen. When it goes wrong it does, and with Palace finishing with 9 men to boot what can you do. But, we still have a job to do and there was some great individual performances in the circumstances.
We wont get many games like this for sure, we know that we've a long way to go, and having lost to Arsenal midweek it's great to bounce back.
A good result for us in another incident packed game. Seven goals, two red cards and numerous penalty appeals kept the crowd well entertained in this action packed tie. On two occasions we took the lead and on each of those occasions Liverpool tied the game back up as the match swung one way then the other. We always had slightly the better of this game though and after nudging ahead on a third occasion, comfortably went on to complete the job. This came at a cost though as we lost two of our regular midfield men, one to a red card and the other sustaining an injury that will certainly rule him out for a few games.
A brace from Dominik Szoboszlai put us well on the way for a win. It was a solid home performance and we controlled the game from the start. Szoboszlai got one in each half before subtitute Ben Brereton Diaz killed the game with his first goal of the season ten minutes before full time. It’s been a good start the season and always good to start with high end performances.
Poor result for Chelsea, after being the better side, and their goal-keeper being names MOM, sought of sums up the match really. Has to go down as three points lost, and we must move on quickly. Good game mate, catch you next time.

HA and TA helped us on our way to an early goal in this game from MotM Dele Alli. West Ham came back level on the half hour mark, but we were always edging the game. The second half saw us capitalise on our excellent play with a goal each from Emerson Royal and Cody Gakpo. All in all a great performance considering our top striker was missing for this game. Happily we have no suspensions or injuries resulting from this game and Pascal Struijk, Jakub Moder and Quinton Timber are all homing in on rating upgrades.
Good game Todd
Next game see's us travel to Villa Park for a very tough test against Ian's Aston Villa side. Thankfully we have a full squad to select from as we welcome back Pedro Goncalves from injury.
Rubbish display from us today against what is slowly becoming our bogey team.
a penalty conceded, an early injury and a red card it was quickly apparent this wouldn’t be our day. Already missing kalvin it was going to be a real uphil struggle with all that on top and so it proved.
we played absolutely shite to be fair and deserved the square root of fuck all which is what we got, so no complaints.
played Bridgey deserved win mate.
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
It's games like this that sap what little enjoyment I have for ESMS left. 2-0 down and then two sent off leaving United to finish the thrashing. I can't deny that we were unlikely to win this but now we have two key players out.
We are turning up trying to play more football this season and we have a decent account of ourselves. We continue to have fun and play decent football. Hopefully see us survive / get into Europe on our own accord. Long way to go. Cheers
A great win that changes the perspective of the start of our season. Lose and it looked ominous for a season of struggling. A win and we have confidence for our home games at least.
We played well, but we needed luck on our side. Leeds had injuries and sendings off, but we still had to put the graft in to win. Leeds are a class side and they’ve shown that with their own strong start to the season.
Let’s hope we can keep these good results going. We need to surpass 45+ points again this season and we’ve started ok.
Our start to the season hasn't been great so a result here was vital for us and luckily we came back to London with a two nil win. The game was won in the 40th minute with both goals coming in the space of a minute through Skipp and the in form Pepe. The worrying thing for us being that we only had two shots on target from our ten attempts. In seasons gone by we have struggled in games like these so Im just pleased to have got the three points.
