    Leicester City 3 - 1 Atalanta

The better side won we tried something new and it didn't work so will likely revert back to normal style as we don't want to be on a losing streak no good for morale lol well done Gs.

      Villarreal 1 - 2 Watford

This game couldn't have been much tighter according to the stats but it was the stronger English side Watdford that narrowly came out on top and took all the points. While the game was hardly a thriller it did produce three goals and it was the away side that nudged ahead with just 11 minutes on the clock before the Villarreal new boy Pavlidis tied the game back all square before half time. We looked to be heading for a drawn game but the away sides midfield man Neuhaus had other ideas as he snatched a late winner for his side.

        Frankfurt 4-1 PSV

Simply put - the score line flattered us. I think we definitely did enough to win - we were just super clinical today. Every single one of my starting outfield players got a key pass and I hadn't seen that before - along with Tolisso's 4 tackles - helped us massively in what was a tricky game against a very good manager and side. It's a long season and I am pleased we bounced back from the Atalanta result which needed to be addressed. We need to pick up points away from home so let's see how the next few games pan out. Unlucky Neil. All the best mate.

          Valencia 1-0 Luton Town

Valencia secured a narrow victory over Luton Town at the Mestalla Stadium on Sunday, thanks to a first-half goal from Borja Iglesias.
The home side created a number of chances, but they were made to work hard for the win by a resilient Luton side.

Josip Juranovic was named Man of the Match for his impressive performance in defence, while Iglesias' goal was his first in the Conference League this season.

The result leaves Valencia in seventh place in the table, while Luton Town remain in 17th.

          Key Stats
          • Attempts on goal: 11 | 11
          • On target: 6 | 5
          • Possession: 48% | 52%
          • Corners: 3 | 3
          • Yellow cards: 2 | 2
          • Fouls: 9 | 6
          • Key tackles: 11 | 10
          • Key passes: 12 | 11
          What's next?

Valencia will travel to face Nottingham Forest in their next Conference League match on Tuesday, while Luton Town will host Celtic.

            Sporting Lisbon 2 - 2 Schalke

Sporting jumped to a quick lead but the lads were resilient and managed to grab the lead with just over 15 minutes left. A tactical change by Sporting caught us off guard and ultimately led to an equalizer in the closing minutes.

Auction signing V_Castellanos opened his account for the campaign scoring a brace. He was later awarded Man of the Match. Looks as though Castellanos is finding his footing in the squad. There has been no shortage of attempts but until this match he has come up empty.

Statistically, Sporting dominated which is going to be expected for us as the newcomers to the league. Points are still going to be hard to come by but getting our first 3 matches in is a nice boost.

            Good game Gary.

              Celtic 2-0 Norwich

"Always good to beat a side managed by AB, we have been unlucky at the start of this season with how the fixtures have been drawn up and even more unlucky that we have had nothing to show for it so far, today was probably at the other end of the spectrum as it wasnt a great game and probably our worst performance so far, but we ran out 2-0 winners, Alban had a great game between the sticks and i think we owe the 3 points to him on this occasion as a dour game like this could of gone either way, its off to the DB Cup now at Bristol on Tuesday and its a competition for obvious reasons im looking forward to, hopefully we can get it under way with a win."

                Frankenfurters 4-1 PSV

And the good run comes to an end, though it was a closer game than the scoreline suggests.
We decided to stick to a fairly adventurous approach rather than be cautious as we had considered doing, and they countered us.
It was tight until we went chasing the game late on, and let in a another couple of goals, but nil points is nil points, gg dude
We welcome Faivre back, but lose Moura to suspension for midweek

                  Valencia 1 - Luton Town 0

After victory over Sheffield United and a defeat on our last trip to Spain, we travelled to Valencia hoping to maintain the recent improvement.

We lined up with the same 11 that won our last match, leaving our two new defensive recruits out of the squad. Valencia took an early lead in the match as Iglesias scored with a header that was always out of the reach of Rui Silva in the Luton goal.

Realistically this was a game we were always likely to struggle in - last season Valencia were playing in the EFL while Luton Town didnt even exist as a professional team - and this showed as we were weaker in all areas of the pitch so keeping our opponents to 1 goal was something of an achievement!

Good game Sanchez, good luck for the rest of the season.
