Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
With the gulf in class of the 2 teams this scoreline before the game was probably expected.
However, stats wise we gave a good account of ourselves. Probably helped by the home side losing players to injuries.
Annoying result to say the least. But any points from the teams above the relegation fodder is a bonus. But there are two leagues in the Prem we just have to win the don’t get relegated league.
Soundly beaten across most areas of the park. Just disappointed in our keeper only making one save after making 23 in the first 3 games! We learn from this and continue. It’s been a good start despite the result. All the best Tim.
Our good start to the season continued with a convincing win today. It’s a game we would expect to take three points from but it isn’t always as easy as that.
We very much deserved our win and so far it’s nice to see the performances translate into the points we deserve.
It’s early days but I feel like we have more of an identity this season and have a better balance.
Losing Kalvin for 3 games to injury is less than ideal, especially with the mighty old lady up next but never mind. We have some cover, we certainly lose significantly overall but I will look to come up with a plan B.
played Anthony, should have gone with the big D mate, you might have only lost by a couple then
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
Well this result we will happily take but it came at a cost as we lost our main DF and main MF good game despite the scoreline and let's see we can cope with the players we lost in the next lot of matches.
We haven't had it easy so far this season with most teams countering our tactics and Southampton today was no exception although in the main we have still performed well and after three league games are in a reasonable position. Star of the show for Villa today was without doubt the new boy Luis Diaz who not only broke his goal scoring duck for us today, he did so in style. Like I say the game was no walkover for us and Southampton took the lead half an hour into the tie but with the team showing some grit and determination and Diaz doing the rest it ended up a comfortable looking score line as our the new man up front netted a hat trick.
A scoreless draw away at Stamford Bridge is a good result and the two teams matched each other. The home side has yet to conceed this season and we never looked like scoring. Thanks to a great defensively game we ended up with a point.
Not only did the reds start the game with HA and TA, but we had a catastrophe 10 minutes in as our main striker Pedro Goncalves twisted his ankle and had to go off to be replaced by a 12 rated FW! Despite all this adversity Wolves acquitted themselves well as we more than held our own against a far superior side, which can only bode well for us as the season progresses. As it was we lost but the penalty award was contentious to say the least and seemed very harsh on Dele Alli. I think in truth we probably deserved something from this game but it was not to be as we couldn't find a way through with our weakened strike-force. Stats wise United did edge it, but not to the extent you'd expect against the minnows of the Black Country!
Update on Goncalves is that he will miss the next two games.
Well played Steve and good luck for the rest of the season.
A game that could of gone either way really, but settled in a 0-0 draw .I think we probably edged the game, but goals win matches neither side could score one, so the end result was already cast in stone. A good point for Spurs, but has to be two dropped for us if we have any intentions of making a challenge up the top end of the table. Good game Ed.
I think we deserved to win, but it felt a bit subdued although the stats will suggest slightly different. Keeping the cleansheet is nice, the first of the season, and sometimes 1 goal is enough as it was today. Fati with a penalty to keep his steady form going is good to see as we hope to see him continue to grow this season.
All in all we'll take it, we know we can do better and we will, but game by game, we just need to continue the wins.
Can't say much for this one was a game I needed to win but made a bad tactical choice so played right into his hands just need to get my keeper up so we hopefully stop letting them game decider goals in been tough up here with this team but the team is putting up a better fight than I thought they would so can't complain
Another tough fixture which ends in defeat for us making it just one win from our opening three games which is far from what we wanted but keeps the trend of a poor start going once again. If a side gets three at home, they really should win the game but we have ourselves to blame for the defeat as we were second best against Burnley who had started the season in worse style than us.
Going through a little bit of the motions with it if Im honest with FO but we move on and try and get the win in the Champions League.
A pretty thrilling ping-pong game. Stats-wise we were the better side and Malacia´s red card in minute 79 helped us to score the winning goal. Bergwijn with a hattrick, nice amount of abs for the whole team and first three points this season - quite a successful trip to the Emirates Stadium. Well played Darren.
