Post Match Reactions - Round 42

    West Ham 1 - 3 Aston Villa

Our opponents played for a draw in this game presumably because their DPT qualification wasn't fully guaranteed. In the end we got a comfortable win and then conceded right at the death through West Ham's only effort on target. A good result that caps off a good season for us.

Well done to Nick for winning the title and those who have won trophies this season.

Again it's a big thanks to those who are responsible for running this game, particularly Jon who always goes above and beyond and keeps the games best interests at heart. Also a big thanks to all the match runners who amazingly never fail to produce.

      Leeds 4 - 1 Chelsea

Thank fuck that season is over! Now I can get back on with moaning for the new season to start ASAP!!

The game - We have played better constantly and lost and drawn games, that's happened all season. Whilst stats wise we were the better side today and deserved the three points it feels a bit random each time but never the less, this was good performance and a rare good result.

      Well played Andy.

Thanks to JB as always for the commitment shown in running the games. It is massively appreciated, we couldn't have this fantastic game without you. The same goes for Nick and Johnboy. Thanks lads on doing such a great job.

Congratulation's and commiserations to all applicable, bring on bonanza and the auction and then bring on next season, time for a change of luck for Leeds......... surely!?

        Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Barnsley

A great way to end the season against a tough opponent and great manager. If you asked me if we would have lost less games than Liverpool, finished with the EQUAL THIRD best defence, and were 5 points above the relegation zone I'd have said yeah right. A tough season but delighted to be in the Prem next season. We know we need to work on goals and a plan is in place in our push for European football next season.

Well done to Nick, and everyone this season as without the managers sending in sheets the main man JB (thank you very much for all your work) wouldn't have anything to do...

        Already keen for season two.

        Cheers

          Everton 0-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

Not much to say on a dire game to end the season, we finish 5th which is OK on the grand scheme but not where we want to finish. Next season try harder, don't get sent of, and lets not have a 'keeper injury at 3 different points. Do these and we have some form of chance.

Being serious things have gone against us for sure, but that isn't the only reason, we haven't been ruthless enough at times and we're leaking goals which has been detrimental so that's the objective this off season.

Huge thanks to JB for all his work in running the game, and the match runners for giving up their time to give us all the game we play (and moan about)!

            Leicester 3-2 Sheff Utd

Nice to finish with a couple of wins, and be clear of the drop zone, however I have to feel for Kels, as this consigned the Blades to relegation. We did enough to earn the win based on the stats, edging them in most areas.
In a bit of limbo for now, waiting to hear on Leicester's future, but happy to continue caretaking them if needed.

              Arsenal 0 - 1 Stoke City

A game that we really didn't deserve to lose but our form against the bottom sides came back to haunt us on the final day just as it has done on numerous occasions this season. If games were won on stats wed have pissed this but they aren't and as a result, we slump to defeat in a game that we really should be winning.

Take nothing from Stoke though, they had a job to do and they done it, to stay up on the last day is fantastic and we applaud them for it, rolling the D out after one up after just 35 minutes is a big step but it paid off. Breaking D down looks to be an issue across the league really but we end the season with two semi finals in the bag plus a fourth place finish is a good return.

Thanks to Jb for running games, less pegging next season and some more 9pm runs would be good...and by runs..I don't mean what I get sent on a daily by you Banks lot and now Ed

Cheers all for a great season.
