BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Having been blessed by Mati to try secure champions league football, we lost last week in a high scoring shootout but were far more dominate this time around. The sadness around this result is officially relegating my former caretaker team and all round good bloke Sam. Very happy to see that he’s sticking around and I expect big things from Celtic next season with him in charge!
Mati thanks for trusting me for these two games. Been fun!
Thanks for simming Nick, huge job! Enjoy the break
We end the season with a whimper. The last quarter of the season we have been dreadful.
Hopefully dumping Locatellit will fix that and we can revert back to a more attacking style of play.
Massive thanks to the match runners who tirelessly run games and field the regular 'any games tonight' question with grace & ease.
And what can we say to the Special One? The one who gives meaning to our lives as we fixate on this sad little game. I recommend the great JB for a Knighthood for putting up with us all. We are eternally grateful.
Lazio 2 PSG 7
We finish with a little flourish. Not sure of Drums reasoning for his tactical choice but it probably benefitted us. 2-2 after 12 minutes but then we pulled away scoring 5 with no reply. Disappointing to lose costa towards the end, especially as his replacement faced 8 shots that could have been a few more abs for our main guy. Neverthless he remains above 22,500 so prob gets the armband next season. Shame that Pino couldnt get on the scoresheet as he finishes the season on 21.997 after rerates - just one more shot would have done it. Not a great season overall, but something to build on. We dropped 25 points from winning positions and continuing with A. If we can tighten our gameplay a little, we will be challenging next time.

And thanks to Nick for running the games all season
After a good run we lost last time out facing Bayern Munich so we were hoping to finish the season on a high as we travelled to Juve. We played a slightly weakened team for this match but with good reason, in consultation with Atletico we left Soumare out of the side and we also played Giles in defence, hoping that he, alongwith Cataldi, Coates, Cresswell and Aubameyang would complete the actions that would see them increase ready for next season - as it was only Aubameyang managed it!
We took the lead in the 10th minute as Aubameyang got the goal which saw him hit 19 rated, although being 33 that will be undone again almost immediately!
Juventus equalised just after the half hour mark and then took the lead through Leao on the hour point of the match.
De Ketelaere was sent off 5 minutes later but we were unable to make our man advantage count and we finished the game on the wrong end of a 2-1 result.
By the start of season Power Rankings we were expected to finish certainly no higher than 18th, indeed on one scale we were last so a finishing position of 15th and a DPT semi-final where we were somewhat unlucky to lose to the eventual champions Liverpool suggest that we have done better than expected this season - and we have a DPT place to look forward to again next season as well.
Good game AB, and thanks to Nick and JB for all their efforts keeping the game moving season after season

With nothing left to play for we decided to use something new. If I’d thrown some proper effort in I probably would have played differently.
at 2-2 I thought it was possible to match the superior team., but they raced away after that.
no real resistance from lazio.
was really nothing left to aim at, was in DPT, couldn’t do much else.
In the final game of the season Sporting Lisbon travelled the France hoping to end their season with a win.
Things got off to a great start when Juan Mata floated past 3 Lyon players before rifling a shot into the back of the net to give Lisbon a 2nd minute lead.
Lisbon were dominating the game and in the 26th minute Robert Lewandowski scored his 32nd goal of the season to double the Portuguese sides lead with the fans starting to dream that their hero's were going to secure 2nd spot and Champions League seeding.
Sporting Lisbon were rampant and in the 35th minute Juan Mata got on the end of a De Jong pass and Sporting Lisbon were 3-0 up and it stayed that way as the half time whistle went.
Morata gave Lyon hope when he scored in the first action of the 2nd half but Sporting Lisbon continued to pile on the pressure.
That pressure culminated in Sporting Lisbon going 4-1 up in the 73rd minute when Eden Hazard scored a tremendous goal in his last game for the Club.
Sporting Lisbon dominated possession with 60% and created 15 chances to Lyon's 11 with Lisbon having 7 shots on target to Lyon's 3.

What a performance and result to end a fantastic season where the power rankings had us as the 10th place side in the EFL ego League.
We managed to defy logic and finish 23 points above the mighty Bayern Munich, 7 points clear of last seasons Champions in PSG and 6 points clear of the Special one and Transfer Kings Roma.
This was a season when the Mouth of the South terrified the establishments big egos with Steve T saving everyone's blushes finishing 9 points clear at the top with 97 points to our little sides 88 points.
It is now up to us to prove this season was no fluke and try and go one better next season and get our hands on the EFL Trophy.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish Rick Karsdorp and Rensch all the best in their careers and thank GS and Nick for the season long loans they provided me with, hopefully they are very happy with the abs their players have earned as both have gone from 16 raters to established 18 raters in just one season in the Portuguese Capital.
I would also like to wish Juranovic, Eden Hazard and De Jong all the best for their careers and they tremendous efforts they have put in this season.
We are pleased to announce that Mats Hummels, David Alaba and Philippe Coutinho will be wearing the famous green and white jersey next season as we look to try and go one better than this season and try to shock the FFO world again by having a crack at the Champions League.
A big thank you to Nick for running the games and JB for everything he does to provide and enjoyable game that we all love to play.
What a shame this aint a title winning speech but big congrats to Steve T for winning the League.
Lastly good game Jason pleasure playing you as always.
Final game of the season, we came into the game looking for abs and within 10 minutes we were behind but we stuck with our plan and within 25 minutes we were level heading into the break.
After the restart we looked to get the games next goal and on the hour mark we scored it to take the lead.
6 minutes later, we were down to 10 men as we lost C_DeKetelaere to a red card, however we saw the win out.
Statistically we were just about the better team so a 2-1 win feels right. Good game Johnboy.
We finish the season with a nice little run of wins but we finish 11th, a disappointing season for us and it's clear what we need to do moving on.
The Champions cap off the season in style with a comfortable win over our city rivals. Two goals from Harvey Elliot see's him finish as our top scorer with 33 goals and plans are for him to really flourish next season. We reach our 30 wins for the season mini-goal, and accumulate 97 points with 141 goals scored at a rate of 3.35 goals per game. Good targets for teams to try and beat in the following season(s). GG Marshy good season for Atletico.
Hopefully the runners can aim to achieve more games uploaded on the day, rather than this next day nonsense... Only joking. Big thanks to Nick for running the league so effortlessly, and to JB for doing a sterling job keeping this mad house ticking along. Also mentions to Johnboy for doing a grand job with the CL.
With nothing to play for either team it was always likely to be an open game. Atletico with huge defeats this season opted for the P rather than A to avoid a further embarrassment and this was probably a good decision given they still conceded 5.
Congratulation to Steve Talbots Real Madrid on their fine title win. Their end of season is quite ridiculous and with the power in their hands to improve further its uphill for challengers next season too.
Manager Simon Marsh commented "We were not too fussed about the result in this one and played out an entertaining game. 06th placed finish was above expectations and a good season for us. We have already discussed that we have conceded far too many goals and that work has been completed to try and improve this".
Marsh added "My thanks once again go to all the match runners JB, JBoy and Nick who have all been excellent once again. Also the main thanks to JB for the dedication in transferring over to FFO2 and stewarding the season".
Always satisfying to put one over the Galacticos and we were well worth our victory in this one, as comfortable as it probably gets against such a strong opponent.
In fairness it wasn't a particularly meaningful game in terms of league positions. We finish 5th which is ok but we are ambitious and want to do better. The defeat in the cup final was particularly sore given we'd beaten so many good teams to get there. Less said about our Champions League campaign the better.
We've already started our recruitment for next season when we have to look to close the gap on the elite sides which is easier said than done but that has to be the challenge.
Congrats again to Steve on the title and special mention to Gaz too for an excellent season, a well deserved 2nd place.
Finally a massive thanks to the guys that deserve all of the accolades really and that's the match runners. Your time and dedication are very much appreciated.
a greta performance to end the season, not much to say we raced into a quick lead and Marseille equalised soon after but we were back on top and 3-1 up before halftime and the game was over with early in second half. gg mate
we now look to next season where we have made 5/6 deals already in a much needed shakeup, we fonish 7th but with the circumstances this season its acceptable and Champions League is secured again.
