BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
The win streak is halted at 13 by little Celtic, but a spirited 2nd half fight back from the EFL1 Champions rescues a draw to retain their unbeaten run. We knew we would face N today more than likely, and although it usually produces poor abs for the teams deploying it, it can produce the odd result here or there, so we laced in some P into our tactics today if we was drawing. Maybe should have included it if we was losing too, but I guess that didn't enter my head. Well done to Celtic though, good result for them, but perhaps us claiming a draw in the 2nd half from 2-0 down was a bit of a heart stabber for them as they now have to beat AC Milan away from home to have any hope to survive the drop. Gl to both Frankfurt and Celtic on that matter.
All feels a bit pre seasony for Madrid now at the moment, with the intesnity gone from todays performance. Hopefully a kick up the backside in training will produce better results against Atletico in the last game.
Might we be ending the season with a little flourish? Hopefully so.
A good win against a team who have been pushing for the Champions League places for most of the season, only to fall late on.
With our DPT fate sealed for next season we played for abs really, vs the hosts' P and after a first half where Rangers were the better team, we were heading towards half time with the scores level but with 8 minutes until the break, we took the lead and saw that lead out until half time.
We doubled our lead shortly after the break but Rangers came back at us, halving our advantage within 6 minutes.
The games 4th goal would be crucial and thankfully for us it came in the form of a Y_Adli effort to restore our 2 goal lead with 11 minutes left to play.
After a pretty dull last 11 minutes, we'd seen out a 3-1 win and have now pretty much sealed 11th place.
Statistically it was an even game, so Rangers will feel hard done by in this one. Good game Aaron.
PSG 1 Roma 1
Disappointed to end our winning run at home, taking 56 from the 63 points available over the season. 23 v 15 chances would usually be enough to win the game, but for a change the Roma keeper had a decent game. Both goals scored against TA when A v C, and i probably showed too much respect to our visitors by going C when leading.

When we went behind with the first action of the game whilst Sevilla were playing D I thought it was going to be an unenjoyable 90 mins for us but after they changed to a counter attacking approach we got ourselves level. I think we then took the lead after they'd reverted back to D which prompted them to go all out attack which we managed to take advantage of with a couple of late goals.
It was never a 4-1 score line in terms of the competitiveness of the match so Sevilla can feel pretty hard done by.
Leaves us with a home game to conclude the season against a Roma side that can still finish 2nd. Not sure whether we'll face the Roma way or one of their less ambitious approaches but it would be nice to finish the season with a positive result.
The last home game of the season gave the fans an happy ending to a very good season which sees us claim 06th spot. Its easy to forget this was a side only recently promoted and primed for DPT action. 08th 08th and 06th placed finishes above better teams on paper has seen expectations at the club rise and next season will be a challenge again with at least 10 sides in the league likely to be jostling for the top-8. Goals from Demirbay, Diaby and Fati grabbed the victory.
Manager Simon Marsh commented "We were not at our best but did just enough to edge past Napoli today and with Inter losing we were pleased to guarantee the 06th placed finish and extra prize money and small esteem. The challenge is how to not just stay in this pack of 10-top clubs but how to get nearer the top of it. Time is of the essence at present so we may have to remain patient. Hopefully we can improve our cup results next season".
All players have now made their minutes and will be retained for next season
We played a team we should have beat in playing for abs and obviously fighting Atletico for that spot above us but we ost, got no abs and cant overtake Atletico so all in all a bad day for us and a great day for Eintracht. one game to go, gg mate
In the final game at the Estadio Jose Alvalade for season 1 it was imperative that Sporting Lisbon recorded a win to try and maximise their chances of finishing runners up following a stella campaign.
Borussia Dortmund who needed a victory to try and stay in the hunt for DPT qualification got off to a flyer when in the first action of the game they took the lead via Tomori in the 2nd minute.
Sporting Lisbon were a wounded animal following their 5-0 humbling at the Nou Camp and the Estadio Jose Alvalade fell silent.
The first half was very even and Sporting Lisbon got the break through they craved in first half injury time when Matteo Politano breezed past Tavares and lobbed the desperate Dortmund keeper to level the score in the 47th minute.
The first half ended 1-1.
Dortmund became party poopers again when in the 51st minute Reinier sidestepped Telles and easily slotted past Lopes to restore their one goal advantage.
Telles made up for his mistake in the 57th minute when he made a quick pass to Eden Hazard who's low drive took a wicked deflection to pull the game back level at 2-2.
The home crowd were now full of belief and Sporting Lisbon players went on the rampage in search of the all important winning goal.
Dortmund were standing fast despite wave after wave of Lisbon's attacks but in the 86th minute the goal the home crowd craved arrived as Telles again became provider as he found Matteo Politano who made no mistake to score his 20th goal of the season and secure an important three points.
Dortmund slightly edged possession with 51% but Lisbon created 11 chances to Dortmund's 8 with Lisbon having 9 shots on target to Dortmund's 4.

That was a special way to reward our fans today and it was imperative that we finished our home campaign with a victory.
Following Roma's draw with PSG we now need a point from our last game in France against Lyon to secure the runners up spot.
The fact my players have never given up this season is a testament to their winning mentality and they need one more impressive 90 minutes to hopefully finish this season on a massive high.
