Simply an odd odd game again, where we're back to having a shocking defensive output, but yes, Arsenal going P then A was always going to get chances and opportunities, but despite us taking the lead, once we changed set up we gained the tactical bonus which once again had no effect for us and quickly threw the lead away, then similar scenario where had a different "tactcial advantage" just different tactics options and found us letting in another goal.
To then piss in the wind even more, they scored 2 late goals (twice in the week this has happened) playing D against our all out attack which just sums up our season where the tactical advantages have little to no effect on our games for us. It's been frustrating the number of times this happens so I'll leave it there.
But, Arsenal did get the opportunities, scored them and go away with the points which despite anything else is all that should matter in football
We drop to 7th, no chance of a first year title, the cup went before it started somewhat and we have to turn around Europe, seasons over, time to join the Lazy A brigade
In the last of Windebank's three game caretaker role 2nd place Spurs were the opponents, in a game Windebank was hoping he could win so he could record 6 points from a possible 9 so that Will's side were in the Champions League places when he returned from holiday.
Imagine Windebank's disgust when Jordan Pickford pulled up injured in the first action of the game to be replaced by a 16 rated backup keeper.
Thankfully Everton were on fire and Williams gave the Toffees the lead in the 6th minute when he headed in Umtiti's cross.
Everton were all over Spurs but there was a fear that Cragno was going to concede goals and that he did on the 36th minute when
Digne lobbed the desperate Everton keeper to draw the game level.
A minute later the Spurs fans were going mental as David Silva lobbed the sub standard Cragno to take the lead.
Windebank ordered his players to attack as he had no faith in Cragno but the half ended 2-1 to the Spurs.
Everton were all over Spurs but could not get the important equaliser until Spurs decided to park the bus in the 70th minute. Straight away Trossard showed great skill and composure as he brought the game level.
Tottenham changed to passing but Everton had momentum and Goodison Park erupted in the 81st minute when Williams found Burn who buried the shot to give Everton the lead to make the score 3-2.
Everton saw the rest of the game out and recorded a deserved victory with 53% possession creating a massive 21 chances to Spurs 10 of which 10 were on target to Spurs 7.

That was a big performance and victory today and hopefully Will is going to be happy with our return of 6 points from a possible 9 against teams that sit first second and third.
I can only apologise that Pickford is unavailable for the next game along with match winner Burn.
Was a pleasure playing ya Thomas and best of luck for the rest of the season to Will and Thomas.
I Can only feel for the opposition after this game, not only was the end result very harsh on them it was also very cruel. There was nothing wrong in the way that Sheffield Wednesday set up against us for this encounter but the modern day game just doesn't give them the freedom to express themselves in the way that they would wish. These kind of headline grabbing results are creeping into the game more and more and while they may not all be as emphatic as this one was, they are not a good look for the game in my opinion.

fuck this fucking shit. Same old bolox, another game another way for us to get bent over. Another example of a game where we are the better of the two teams on the day and lose.
1 injury and 2 two game suspensions. Leaving me with 2 fit defenders next game and 3 fit defenders for the dpt semi. I’m right on the edge just now
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
Should never had won here on paper there far better there top level were average level and even stats had them beating us but somehow we took a 2 goal lead and then later on in match when it was too late they pulled one back but really surprised seeing this result would have to come.down to our best result of entire season purely because how good nick and City are. Unlucky Mate feel for you here least spuds got beat too though.
Another day, another defeat, it's almost like we are reflecting real life!
We didn't play too badly in this one, with the home side just edging things. In fact I think we had more shots in target, but it was not to be. I think things have gone downhill since making Rebic captain, he's obviously not cut out for it. gg dude
heading downwards rapidly, hopefully we can recapture some form before going down.
We usually lose to Liverpool and we setup to cause them problems by countering them with C. Probably the second time I’ve started C and it worked this time.
To take 3 points and carry on our great form is priceless. We’ve now won 5/6 of our last games but we’re not far enough from the relegation zone so we need to carry in pushing and make some more changes to the team in the final transfer week.
Secondly, FFO with an active Hamza is a much better game and I hope he comes back properly soon.
A point away is always a good point, so why does this result feel like 2pts lost, because we shaded the game that's why ,and 1pt should have been 3pts.Im getting used to it now, and it's taught me that a whole new approach to the game is needed by me and Chelsea, in respect of tactics, and formations etc, so be it.Good game mate, your doing ok with Barnsley.
We agree with the Chelsea boss except it’s us who have dropped the two points with the last kick of the game being an equaliser. I take the draw as the gulf in class is incredible. I know they’re going through a rough patch but we need every point possible. It’s not nice being in the relegation zone. Our squad quality deserves to probably be there but I have exceptionally high standards of myself and my team. The battle continues. GG mate happy to swap clubs
A really good three points away at a tough fixture was just the tonic to put that shambolic result in the Champions League behind us. A few results went our way in this round which now sees us sit just three points behind Man City and Spurs. It could have been more aswell but a goal ruled out means we score four past them which is a great return away from home. We now enter a run of games against some of the sides not in the best of form and looking to get away from the drop zone so we need to play like this and try and put more pressure on City and Spurs.
