Away from home, against the best squad in FFO it's no doubt a mammoth task but we gave it a go and nearly took a draw back to Old Trafford but 2 late goals, one a controversial penalty, have left the mountain peak further out of reach, but we've shown they can be got at and once we bring them to Old Trafford we know can cause the upset of all upsets.

We're not upset we just go again, but given the way this run of fixtures have fallen for us, I did say it's make or break for the season, and this will show what we're made of if we can turn this around.

We were fortunate to get 65% of our shots on target, and with a 17-9 "on target" count, i would expect to score double the opponent. The fact that our visitors played N in both legs of the QF was enough to deter us from our regular attacking style, so we opted for a more conservative P, giving us a chance of not giving away TA. As it happens, we started P v C and thought we had taken the lead, before the goal was disallowed. We got our noses in front and we had a C v C quiet encounter until half time. however, our opponents then increased the pressure, switching to A, but choosing to leave Sancho as an AM, and twice came from behind to level the game. With 85 minutes on the clock it looked like the game was going to peter out into a draw, but we were given a chance to regain the lead with a dubious penalty - perhaps the referee realised the early disallowed goal was good, so was evening up the game. Up stepped Felix for his 41st of the season, and we had 5 minutes to hang on. Surprisingly, our visitors then decided to take off a defender to bring on an 11 rated forward for the last 5 minutes, reverting to 31222A. Felix was able to capitalise with his 2nd of the game in the dying minutes, to give us a 2 goal cushion.

We played AGG 20 for the 3rd time in recent games, and again didnt get a single booking. Our attempts to get our 5 on 8 DP over the line and clear for the 2nd leg are clearly failing, giving us some interesting selection choices over the next 2 games before the 2nd leg.

Well, that was interesting. Our journey ends now, pleased to get to this stage of the Champions League, further than some of the self proclaimed ' big teams ' in the game. To conceded six from eleven shots on target yet we cant score from ten shots on target says everything we need to about the game really. They we better at both ends but our performance was not what that score suggests it was as we matched them in that game, just got tore a new one in the process. Best team in the game marches on.
