Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
A game that created numerous chances for both sides and also a game in which the final score perhaps flattered the opposition somewhat. It was the home side that first found the back of the net and despite creating marginally more efforts than the away team it was indeed Derby County that ran away with the game scoring three further goals throughout the 90 minutes. It's just not easy to get any sort of momentum going with this side but we won't give up and The WM tournament remains a hope for us.
Another pile of shite! Shalke switched up their tactics, but even so, this was a harsh result
I'm not quite sure why we decided to play A away, but whatever we tried after that didn't work either
We played poorly, and deserved the loss, gg dude.
Unfortunately our young striker managed to get himself injured as well, so all in all, not a good day
After the beat down we suffered last match, it was time to adjust tactics a bit. I've not usually had much luck with the passing tactic but wanted to try something different. It paid off. As Neil said after that we managed to stay a step ahead tactically, making adjustments at the right time to counter PSV's game plan. Polter was man of the match as he was all over the score sheet.
Frustrating again that we couldn’t get a win but probably a fair result in the end. Unless we pick up quickly promotion will not be on the cards, the lack of consistency is really knocking us this season. Porto are doing really well at the moment and are looking good for a promotion charge. Well played Tim, good game.
Off the back of losing our top of the table clash, the boys were keen to get back to winning ways against a struggling Atalanta team. We set off with TA, however their long ball tactics stifled the game and after an even first 45 minutes, we went in at the break at 0-0.
4 minutes into the second half, we were reduced to 10 men after Jones saw red, gifting the visitors the advantage for the rest of the game.
Despite being down to 10 men, the game continued to be even and with 20 minutes to go, the Italian team changed tactics to P like us and with 5 minutes to play they snatched the winner to break our hearts.
We slip down to 5th now but the league table is still very tight.
Statistically it was an even game with us shading it slightly, had we kept all 11 players on the pitch I'm sure we'd have won the game. Good game Ryan.
After the last game win against Middlesbrough we were hoping to build on that against Ajax and cement our position at the sharp end of the table. But the Wolves players looked lethargic despite scoring first. Ajax were very much on top for large parts of this game scoring three unanswered goal to take a deserved three points to close themselves up to the top sides in the division. Only upside is everyone comes through the game with no injuries or suspensions.
Really well played Alfredo, fully deserved.
Next game we are away to Leicester City in the QF 2nd Leg of the WM Cup in a match that we need to put in far more effort than we did here.
Following a good couple of results we travelled to Spain to take on a Villarreal side only a few points above us in the table.
We lined up with the same side that had performed well in the previous matches but having pushed Billing and Harrison forward from the start.
Villarreal took the lead early on through Carrillo and on current form I had already begun to fear the worst.
About five minutes before half time Pukki was fouled in the box by Kepa and Icardi slammed home the penalty and we went into half time with the scores level.
10 minutes into the second half Pukki scored his 14th of the season to give Derby a lead in the match which we held onto until the 88th minute when Pavlidis scored his third of the season and Derby's thrid of the game to secure a largely undeserved victory which pushed us from 19th to 17th in the Conference table.
Good game Ian, good luck for the rest of the season.
Cardiff 5 Fulham 0
After a woeful first half to the season, where we spent the bulk in bottom place, we have finally managed to trade a few players and turn things around. One of our best performances of the season, with the front 2 getting 5 goals between them. We boast the 3rd best defence in the conference, but scoring appears to have been our problem. However, it looks now the front 2 are finally getting the service they need.
