Teamsheets MUST be in by 3pm on Game Day
BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Not a tough result to take IF we hadn’t been in the game, but we were.
Mbappe with 2 and doing enough for a draw and possibly even a win, but Pulisic getting sent off on 46 pretty much handed all the possession to Barca.
which they duly hit a winner,
definitely not my season, but am now at risk of dropping out of the Dpt places.
Team is looking good bar, DDG, as a scouse fan I’m having trouble adapting to a Manc in my team.
An eventful first half saw us go into the break at 2-2 and a man to the good after a Raphinha leveller and Pulisic then losing the plot for them in injury time. The 2nd half looked to be heading towards a stalemate but we brought on a few subbies, changed to all out attack and were rewarded with a late winner which we certainly look to have deserved. Lazio not helped by the red card but I'm pleased that we were able to capitalise and earn a very good 3 points.
Couple of new faces arriving this weekend ahead of another tough game as Inter come calling and it's good to see GS back at the helm - one of the games great characters.
Unlucky Drum, just the way it seems to be going for you at the moment.
Madrid return to winning ways and remain top of the EFL1 table with a hard fought win over Frankfurt with goals from a returning from suspension Sterling and Rodrygo. Ray is a manager who I have a lot of time for despite him being a Claret, and Frankfurt have picked up a lot since Ray has come into the helm there. With Diaz out, it was harder but was a tough win over a side who I think can make a run at safety with Ray in the dugout.
Elsewhere Roma splutter but Barcelona seem imperious. We will keep on, keeping on.
One of Raingod's best results in his 1.5 seasons in charge ... to be 3 up away from home in the 1st half, and then comfortably see out the game is just what we'd planned!
Jose was MOM again but only scored 1 of the 3 goals, with Blas and Toby A obliging with the other 2 ...
Nunez was quiet but did the job asked of him as an AM, and good to see Miazga get his first mins of the campaign ..
3rd best defensive record in the league .. but need to score much more ... which has started today ... unlucky Jason
We knew we would be in for a tough time in this game against one of the best sides in FFO managed by a top manager. We've had a good run of late which held us in good stead as we had a degree of confidence. I feel my team can hold their heads up after this game as we weren't just here to make up the numbers. There is no doubt that there is a gulf between the two sides but overall the stats didn't show much between the two sides. In the end their extra quality shone through to give them the three points. Unfortunately we have lost key defender Sergio Reguilon to injury for the next game.
Very well played Steve.
Next game sees us play host to AC Milan in a game we need to get something from if we want to stay in the pack trying to avoid relegation.
A vs C and we knew we were up against it. Leverkusen took the lead just after the half hour mark and they took that lead into half time.
Come 70 minutes, Leverkusen tried to shut up shop by changing tactics to D, this led somehow to a second goal for the visitors and they seemed to be home and hosed at this point......However, somehow..This wasn't the end for this game.
Goals from L_Piszczek on 89 minutes, followed by an own goal from Leverkusen's N_NKoulou 3 minutes later meant we had rescued a point from this one.
We were second best in this game so a point is a lot more than what we deserved from this one, feel for Jhop. Good game Jason.
The game looked a foregone conclusion with Madrid 0-3 to the good after 24 minutes and C v A little fati scoring twice.
However, some inspiring management from Matias saw the home side stirred into a golden 23 minutes of football when they score 4 times to win the game.
Manager Simon Marsh commented "Thats football. These things are rare but they do happen and unfortunately we were on the end of an awesome comeback from Milan. Thankfully plenty of draws meant we didnt lose too much ground around the top places and we go again in Round 23.
Inter 4 PSG 4
Not the first time we have thrown away a 3 goal lead away from home this season. Thats 11 away games without a win, and without our strong home form we would be nowhere near the CL places. Any chances of top 3 are certainly long gone. The only positive we can take from the game is that the top gun becomes the games first 22 rated forward with a hat-trick and his 16th MoM.
GG GS
again we looked down and out but a great comeback from 3 goals behind to draw, PSG had the stats but my concern is the goals we continue to concede we are better than this but the positives are we are scoring goals just conceeding too many. the goals came from four different players today and it was one of those games that we could have won but could have lost so a draw is a fair result. gg mate
With the 2nd half of the season starting against a great team against a hyper critical Sporting Lisbon basher the Sporting Lisbon faithful were hoping they were not going to get smashed to pieces and have to endure endless gloats from the Godfather of FFO.
Things are not going well in Germany as the usually vocal JB is continually on radio silence and first half season results have led to a few paddy's and toys being thrown out of prams from a manager that is used to winning and rubbing peoples noses in it.
Robert Lewandowski got Sporting Lisbon off to a flyer when he gave "DPT" Lisbon the lead in the 2nd minute to the disgust of Bayern Munich fans who appear to be getting fed up with a torrid season despite having a team of superstars.
Windebank decided to go all out attack following taking the lead as he wanted his players to leave everything on the pitch as he craved to do the double over one of his biggest critics.
Bayern Munich were losing their composure which resulted in Havertz being sent off in the 32nd minute.
The first half was a very even affair with both sides having a real go at each other but the half finished 1-1.
The 2nd half was the same as the first with both sides really having a go but one time Sporting Lisbon target Mahrez broke Lisbon's hearts and saved JB suffering an humiliating defeat when he scored a 73rd minute equaliser.
Bayern Munich had the lions share of possession with 58% and created 17 chances to 12 but Sporting Lisbon had one more shot on target with 7 to Munich's 6

That was a great point today away to a great side and a manager I have a lot of time for. This result means we have taken 4 points from a possible 6 off of a manager who loves sticking the knife into us so I am delighted.
I have been told for so many seasons that Bayern Munich are Champions League certs so it just goes to show the character and belief my players have to be 15 points in front of such a giant of the game and be unbeaten against them this season.
Going by unprovoked attacks by the manager of the current League Leaders it appears that the aristocracy of EFL are starting to get a bit worried about my little Portuguese side. We cannot get side tracked by this provocation and ensure we just focus on one game at a time and see where that takes us.
Good game JB been a pleasure not be beaten by you this season, I have really enjoyed it!!!!
Our somewhat surprise victory at AC Milan in the DPT came at some cost as it resulted in both of our main strikers being suspended for this match leading to a shuffle of the pack and a minimal goal threat as we travelled to Glasgow.
Jovetic played in a more advanced role as forward, Chris Wood who started the season with Monaco, left to join Real Madrid and has since returned to Monaco on loan made only his first start of the season. With 5 goals between them so far I wasn't expecting to tear up and trees this time around, indeed my prinicipal aim was not to concede and hopefully take a point.
A tight defence, well marshalled by man of the match Cresswell meant that Hradecky in the Monaco goal only had two shots to face and he was equal to both of them.
All in all a dull 0-0 draw but one that I would have taken at the start of the match!
Good game Aaron, good luck for the rest of the season.
