    Atalanta 0-2 Sociedad

Expected a tricky game despite Atalanta’s league position and with both teams opting to go long was always going to come down to a bit of luck as to who would get the win. Thankfully for us we got the three points.
All the more pleasing as we were missing Merino and Kehler, two important players.
The home side will understandably feel hard done by, a draw would have been a fairer result. Sadiq has been in unstoppable form recently and that got us over the line.
    Played Ryan, unlucky.

      PSV 2 - 1 FC Porto O_Boscagli (28) Otavio (59) T_Cairney (77)

Didn't play [particularly we ll here but didn't really deserve to lose either really, we probably deserved a point out of this but we were on the wrong end of the luck today.
Had to start giving some squad players minutes so this will make us weaker going forward including today.
Still in a strong position but not happy with this result really, we should be better than this

Barnsley boss had the laptop open for Watford’s game to see how on loanSchlupp would play upon his return from suspension…and he didn’t even make the squad. Harris is expected to spank Tony’s arse next time he sees him.

          Fulham 0 - 0 Villarreal

Away to mid table Fulham but still against a side who are head and shoulders above us ability wise. The home team played a very cagey, almost negative tactic and formation and we tried to counter them with a tactic that is also not known for producing exciting football. The outcome therefore was maybe predictable although it was the home side that can claim they had the better chances. A point for us away is not too shabby at all.

PSV 2-1 Porto, or Neil 2-0 Timbo WK 22

Finally, the real PSV show up, and create some decent chances.
It was a pretty close game, but at least we put plenty of pressure on their keeper.
We had a couple of players out, so even more satisfying, loan man Cairney was the top dog today.
Hopefully this is the start of the long haul up the table, but we'll see, ul dude

              Cardiff City 0 - 2 Schalke

Back to winning ways. Polter who didn't even make the bench in the previous match, opened the scoring 10 minutes in. An own goal a few minutes later saw Schalke take a 2-0 lead. We were able to see the game out despite Ed's squad having a few more shots. We sit 5th in the table just 2 points off the pace.

              Good game Ed.

                MotM: A_Kalajdzic (Wolves)
                HT: 1-1

Playing in front of our home crowd at Molineux helped us overcome the fact that we were tactically on the back foot throughout. Derby struck first but thankfully Sasa Kalajdzic brought us back level within a minute. Overall there was precious little between the two sides and this game could have gone either way. We definitely had the better and more opportunities in front of goal and eventually we made it count on the hour mark courtesy of Emerson Royal. This proved a very tricky encounter against a very good manager.

Good game John, unlucky not to get a point.

Next game we travel to Villarreal and another quality top flight manager caretaking at this lower level.

Breaking News: Wolves confirm the signing of veteran German striker Thomas Muller from Lyon who will give the gold and blacks an extra punch up front. He will be travelling with the team and is expected to start.

                  West Brom 1 - 5 Middlesbrough

A big win on the road takes us back to the top of the league.

We set up with TA and immediately took the lead. We looked to keep things tight after that however the hosts had different ideas as they levelled things on 22 minutes.

We regained TA and retook the lead 7 minutes later. We took this break into the break and 6 minutes into the second half, we were awarded a penalty which we scored to double our lead at 3-1.

At this point we went for the kill and added goals 4 & 5 on 64 and 83 minutes to wrap up a convincing win.

Statistically it was an even game, the difference being us getting more of our shots on target than WBA did. Good game Frank.

                    Wolves 2 - Derby County 1

When Derby hosted Wolves earlier in the season the game finished in a draw, this time around we travelled across the Midlands and took the lead through Jack Harrison in the 13th minute before Wolves equalised almost immediately through Kalajdzic.

We got to half time with the scores still level, before Oxford grabbed a second for Wolves on the hour mark and we couldn't find anything to come back with.

Before the game we knew we were going to struggle as we couldn't compete with the level of player that Ray has assembled at Wolves - with Neuer in-between the sticks we were never going to be able to get much past him and so it proved.

A 2-1 defeat away at a team that will be promoted at the end of the season isn't a bad result, but at the same time if we are to avoid the wooden spoon it isn't good enough.

Good game Ray, good luck for the rest of the season.
