Full respect to Mr Edwards. Some managers needing to play a 18 rated GK would be piling up the pathetic excuses.

Livi being the man he is just gets on with it and gives it his best shot.

I expected Barca to avoid the obvious C and play a defensive P. So we resisted the temptation to play E and stuck to our favoured A. Afterall we put 7 past Man City, so shouldn't have much trouble with Barca's reserve keeper.

Each time we scored and thought we were on our way Barca scored within a minute to equalise. So it was always a nervy affair.

Deep in extra time Barca scored the winner which caused Nacho to have some sort of meltdown which ruined the last 10 minutes.

And so our defense of the EFL Cup comes to an end to a better manager.

An entertaining game which was very closely fought throughout the 120 mins - thankfully we just got that little bit of luck in extra time to score a winner. It really could have gone either way.

Some kind words from Derek which are appreciated. Refreshing to see a manager conduct himself like that after what would have been a sore defeat instead of using every excuse in the book. Classy stuff from a guy I have a lot of time for.

After the Champions League shit show we're delighted to get into the final of this and to give ourselves a chance of landing some silverware. Bayern are fairly similar to ourselves quality wise and it looks a 50/50 final to me.

Unlucky again Derek - as you said via messenger you'll just have to settle for the EFL1/Champions League double.
