BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Needed a win to have a chance of progression, thought Ray may set up with a C, but wanted to attack and just got it all wrong. Well done mate. My next game means nothing so we will use that opportunity to get minutes into our fringe players.
Celtic 0 - 1 Atalanta Really suprised we won this looking at stats Celts we're the better side really struggling to get this team Atalanta we play decent in league and lose and then we play crap in cup and win owell least if we have a good cup run it wont be a total disastrous season under my guidance lol again feel for celts they should have probs took 3 points here.
Both sides emerged from the tunnel wearing black arms bands as the crowd packed into Molineux observed an impeccable minutes silence after news emerged of the passing of Celtic manager Darren Bradwell.
I wasn't expecting Barnsley to go down the all out attacking route but rather take a more passing approach. Either way the counter attacking strategy we adopted worked in our favour along with home advantage. Despite the best efforts of the visitors we had the best of the game and even if the score flattered us slightly we still looked good value for the three points that ensure we qualify for the knockout stage. Sasa Kalajdzic had a great game on his return from injury and showed no ill effects as he picked up a goal and the MotM award.
The biggest news for Wolves was the fact that we can actually claim to be the equal of the mighty Manchester City in one aspect of the game after Manuel Neuer rated up to 22. Albeit only for the rest of the season until derates take it all away from him eos! Oh yes and he'll retire end of season 2 lol
Alongside Neuer our defensive midfielder Jakub Moder continued his immense season so far by rating up to 17.
Good game Anthony and unlucky that your attacking gamble didn't pay off on this occasion.
Next game is back to the league as we travel to Schalke who may have returning manager Chris Spero at the helm. This game will also see Wolves able to select from a full squad with the return from suspension of Cody Gakpo.
5 wins from 5 mean we top the group and win the group with a game to spare.
With an injury to Weimann we had to jig a few things around. But we were able to keep a clean sheet and we took the points in what was an even game at a tough ground and team.
We really need to take this form into the league where we’re struggling for form.
Good game David, good luck in your last group game.
