Well that was a massively disappointing game for us on the road. We knew how Ajax would set up and it panned out just how we expected. What we didn't factor in was the capriciousness of the ESMS Gods!! They played a 15 rated keeper in goal, we had 73% possession and 8 shots on target to their one, but despite all that we couldn't register a goal. Yes we were without our talismanic striker Sasa Kalajdzic, but Cody Gakpo up front in his stead should have been more than enough. But no we failed and lose top spot in the group as a result.

Played Alfredo.

Next game and we are back to league action for an away trip to Watford.

Barnsley 2-3 Borussia Dortmund

Atalanta 3 - 1 Sunderland Top stuff great win for us back to back win in this comp over Sunderland think that takes us 2nd in group with two important games.left happy to see both strikers scorer juat need to get them.to do this in the league now aswell and we be OK.

Boom, Group A completed it. Qualified with 2 games to spare
Went for the attacking game against the expected same from Betis, and it made for an exciting game with plenty of goals and chances.
New lad Rebic scored a couple, along with Alario, but Powell got man of the match

Stoke City 4 - 3 Celtic

Expected a close game and definitely got that! I didn’t expect however to concede with the first action and the game be a 7 goal thriller.

Im still looking for our best setup after a few transfers that have caused a bump in the road. This will certainly help but we have to match these performances in league.

4 wins from 4 in the WM though fills the team with confidence and hopefully we can push on!
